Installation
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- CS-Cart or CS-Cart Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x.
- PHP 7.2.5 – 8.3 (as supported by your CS-Cart version).
- MySQL or MariaDB with InnoDB (standard on every current host): the booking tables use transactions so that the last place can never be sold twice.
- The correct store time zone in Settings > Appearance > Time zone. All opening hours and booking times use it.
- For reminder e-mails: a cron job (recommended) or regular admin activity, see Configuration.
Install
Section titled “Install”- Go to Add-ons > Manage add-ons, click the gear icon and choose Manual installation.
- Upload
kv_booking_reservations-1.0.0.zipand click Upload & install. - Enter your license key under Settings > License (or the Marketplace license number in Add-ons > Manage).
- Open a product, go to its new Booking tab, tick Bookable product, choose the booking type and the opening hours, and save the product.
- Optional: set up the cron job for reminders (the command is shown on the Reminders tab of the settings).
Installing adds Orders > Bookings, the Booking tab of the product editor, the My bookings link in the customer account menu and three e-mail templates (Design > Email templates): booking reminder, booking cancelled and cancellation request.
Privileges
Section titled “Privileges”The bookings pages use the core order privileges: View orders to open them and Edit orders to add, move or cancel bookings. The product Booking tab is part of the product editor (catalog privileges). Vendors (Multi-Vendor) get access when Vendors manage their bookings is on.
Upgrading
Section titled “Upgrading”Upload the new package over the installed add-on (Add-ons > Manage add-ons > Manual installation) or use the Upgrade Center. Bookings and settings are kept; the add-on adds missing tables, settings, texts and e-mail templates by itself after the files are replaced.
Uninstalling
Section titled “Uninstalling”Uninstalling removes the add-on’s tables (booking settings of products, resources, exceptions, price rules and all bookings), its settings, texts and e-mail templates. Orders stay as they are; their lines keep the booking text that was stored with the order. Export the bookings first (Orders > Bookings > gear > Export CSV) if you need them. Disabling the add-on instead keeps everything; while it is disabled, bookable products are sold like normal products without a date.
