Usage

  1. The box page shows “From” and the smallest fixed box price instead of the product price, and a Fill your box button that jumps to the builder.
  2. Under the product block: the box sizes, the product grid with tabs and search, and the box tray.
  3. The customer picks a size and adds products. Each product card turns into a +/- counter. The tray fills slot by slot and shows the regular total, the box price and the saving.
  4. Add box to cart becomes active when the box is full. The quantity next to it adds several identical boxes.
  5. On phones a bar at the bottom shows the box count and price while the tray is out of view.

In the cart the box page line shows “Box of N”, the saving, the gift message and an Edit box link. Each item line shows “In the box (2 of 5)”.

  • Changing the quantity of any line of a box changes the whole box.
  • Removing any line removes the whole box (the builder says so under the tray).
  • Edit box opens the builder with the same size and items; adding it replaces the old box.
  • If you change or switch off a box while it sits in a cart, its lines go back to regular prices and the box page line says the box changed. Editing the box gives the box price again.

Every box line is a normal order line: stock goes down per item, taxes use each product’s tax class, shipping uses item weights, and on Multi-Vendor the box is part of the vendor’s suborder. Admin and storefront order pages show the box notes and the gift message.

Marketing → Build-a-Box → Box report: boxes sold, box revenue, average box, customer savings, the most chosen products and boxes by box and by size, for 7, 30, 90 or 365 days. Orders count when their status takes stock or marks the payment as received.
