Installation

  • CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x.
  • PHP 7.2.5 – 8.3, as supported by your CS-Cart version.
  • Tested on CS-Cart Ultimate 4.17.2, Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 and Multi-Vendor 4.21.2.
  • At least one currency besides the primary one in Administration → Currencies. Its rate is the value of one unit in the primary currency (for example EUR with rate 1.08 when the primary currency is USD).
  • Recommended: a cron job (see Cron).
  1. Go to Add-ons → Manage add-ons, click the gear button and choose Manual installation.
  2. Upload kv_product_price_currency-<version>.zip and click Upload & install.
  3. On the License tab of the settings, enter your license key and save. If you bought the add-on on the CS-Cart Marketplace and entered the license number in Add-ons → Manage add-ons, you can skip this step. Until a key is verified, the add-on works for 14 days (see License).
  4. Check the Rounding settings, then open a product and choose its Price currency, or price many products at once in Products → Price currencies.

What the installation does:

  • creates five tables (cscart_kv_ppc_*) for the currency prices, their quantity and customer group prices, the rates last applied and the recalculation log;
  • generates the cron key.

No core files or core tables are changed. Existing prices are not touched until you give a product a price currency.

Upload the new package over the installed add-on (same steps as installing). On the next admin page load the add-on brings its tables, settings and language variables up to date by itself. Currency prices, the log and settings are kept.

Disabling the add-on (status Off) stops all conversions. Every product keeps the price it has in the primary currency, and you can edit prices as usual. The currency prices are kept; when you enable the add-on again, run Recalculate now (or wait for the cron job) to apply the current rates.

Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Product Price in Any Currency → gear → Uninstall removes the add-on’s tables (currency prices, rates, log), settings and language variables. Product prices stay as they were last calculated in the primary currency.
