Installation and setup
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 to 4.21.x (CS-Cart, CS-Cart Ultimate, Multi-Vendor, Multi-Vendor Ultimate).
- A GLS contract in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Slovenia or Croatia with MyGLS access: the MyGLS user name (an e-mail address), its password and your GLS client number.
- For testing: a MyGLS test account for the test system (
api.test.mygls.<country>). GLS gives it through your local GLS IT contact (the addresses are listed on api.mygls.hu: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]). - A cron job on your server (step 7).
Install the add-on
Section titled “Install the add-on”- Download the
kv_gls-<version>.zippackage from your Kavio Labs or CS-Cart Marketplace account. - In the admin panel, open Add-ons > Manage add-ons.
- Click the gear button and choose Manual installation, then upload the archive.
- Find GLS Shipping Labels & Parcel Shops in the list and make sure its status is Active.
- Enter your license key under Settings > License (Kavio Labs downloads) and click Check now.
Connect MyGLS
Section titled “Connect MyGLS”- Open Orders > GLS shipments and the Connection tab.
- Choose the MyGLS country of your GLS contract (it decides the API address: api.mygls.hu, .cz, .sk, .ro, .si or .hr).
- Choose Test mode, enter the test user name, password and client number, and click Save and test. A green message (“Signed in to MyGLS …”) means the credentials work. The test only reads your parcel list; it never creates a parcel.
- Enter the sender (pickup address): the address GLS collects from and prints as the sender. Leave it empty to use the company address of the store.
- Switch to Live mode with the live credentials only after labels look right; test again.
- Open Administration > Shipping & taxes > Shipping methods, add a method, choose the carrier GLS and the service GLS Parcel (home delivery) or GLS ParcelShop & Parcel Locker, and set your price on the Configure tab.
- Add the cron job shown in the add-on settings (Cron), every minute is fine. It also downloads the GLS point lists once a day; click Download the GLS point lists now on the Connection page for the first time.
Multi-Vendor
Section titled “Multi-Vendor”By default the marketplace owner connects one MyGLS account for all vendors (Marketplace owner mode on): the owner creates the labels and vendors see them. Switch it off to let each vendor connect their own MyGLS account in the vendor panel (Connection tab) and create the labels of their own orders.
Update
Section titled “Update”- Upload the new package the same way. Settings, credentials, labels and the point lists are kept.
- The add-on adds missing tables and settings by itself on the first admin request after the update.
See CHANGELOG for what changed in each version.
Uninstall
Section titled “Uninstall”Open Add-ons > Manage add-ons, click the add-on’s gear button and choose Uninstall. This removes the add-on’s settings, language variables, its GLS shipping methods and its database tables, including the stored credentials and the saved labels. Labels already created stay in MyGLS.
