Collect seller ratings with the Google Customer Reviews survey, show your store rating with Google’s store widget and give Merchant Center a product reviews feed built from your CS-Cart reviews.
Key features
Section titled “Key features”- Survey opt-in on the order confirmation page: Google’s own dialog asks the customer to take a short survey after delivery. The add-on sends your Merchant Center ID, the order number, the customer’s e-mail, the delivery country and the estimated delivery date.
- Estimated delivery date from the “Delivery time” of the shipping method (“3-5 days” = 5 days, “24 hours” = 1 day) or from your own processing and delivery days, counting business days only.
- No survey for failed, declined, canceled or incomplete orders (statuses of your choice), for orders without shipping and for the placeholder e-mails of the checkout without e-mail.
- Store widget (formerly the Google Customer Reviews badge): your store rating in a corner of every page, with position, region and margins; optional on checkout pages.
- Product reviews feed: an XML file in Google’s product reviews schema (version 2.4) with your approved reviews from the core Product reviews add-on (or the Comments and reviews add-on): rating, text, pros and cons, review photos, product name and URL, GTIN, SKU and brand, verified purchase flag.
- Reviewer names in full, shortened (“Jane D.”) or anonymous; no e-mail addresses in the feed.
- Dashboard (Marketing > Google Customer Reviews): setup checklist, opt-ins shown, reviews in the feed, last fetch, feed preview and a new secret URL.
- CS-Cart Ultimate: every storefront has its own Merchant Center ID, opt-in log and feed. Multi-Vendor: one setup for the marketplace; vendors have no access.
- Full page cache safe: the widget is the same for every visitor; the opt-in is only on the confirmation page.
Google Customer Reviews is free. You need your own Google Merchant Center account and must join the program there. No data is sent to Kavio Labs.
Tested
Section titled “Tested”Tested on CS-Cart 4.17.2 and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2: the opt-in code with its data on the confirmation page, the widget code, and the feed, which was validated against Google’s schema file product_reviews.xsd (2.4). Google’s own scripts were not loaded in our tests and no live Merchant Center account was used: whether and when Google shows the dialog, the widget and your ratings is decided by Google.
