FAQ

Section titled “My size option is not called “Size”. Will the link still find it?”

Yes. Add its name to Size option names, or leave it: when no name matches, the add-on uses the option or variation feature whose values match the chart sizes (at least two of them). If nothing matches, the link appears below the product options.

My variants are called “Small, Medium, Large”. The chart says S, M, L.

Section titled “My variants are called “Small, Medium, Large”. The chart says S, M, L.”

They match automatically: spelled-out sizes (Small, Medium, Large, X Large, XX Large, Extra small …) are treated as their codes. For other names add aliases to the chart rows (for example 38 for M).

Can one product use a different chart than its category?

Section titled “Can one product use a different chart than its category?”

Yes. Open the product, go to the Size guide tab and choose the chart, or add the product to the chart’s Products list. You can also choose No size guide for products that do not need one (bags, accessories).

It follows your chart exactly: it compares the shopper’s measurements with the ranges of each size and says how well they fit (Great match, Good match, Rough estimate). It does not guess with AI and does not need any external service. Good charts give good answers: use the measurements of your own garments.

Are shoppers’ measurements stored on my server?

Section titled “Are shoppers’ measurements stored on my server?”

No. Measurements stay in the shopper’s browser (only when they tick “Remember my measurements”) and are never sent to the store. Fit feedback stores only the answer (runs small, true to size, runs large) with the order.

Does it work with full page cache and with my theme?

Section titled “Does it work with full page cache and with my theme?”

Yes. The product page output is the same for every visitor, so cached pages are safe. The link adapts to the Responsive, Bright and Nova themes and themes based on them; the window has its own neutral styling that fits any theme.

Yes, when Allow vendors to manage size charts is on. Their charts apply only to their own products.

Without a valid license (no key after the 14-day start period, an invalid or revoked key, a domain the license does not cover, or no successful check for 14 days), the size guide link, size chart window, Find my size and fit hints are hidden on the storefront and no new fit feedback is collected. Your charts, assignments and feedback stay saved and editable. Once the license is valid again, everything is shown again.

Open Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Size Guide & Fit Finder → Settings → License. The status line says what is wrong: no key, a key for another add-on, a revoked license, or a domain that the license does not cover. Fix it and click Check now. See License.

Yes. Subdomains of your licensed domain (for example staging.yourstore.com) and local development hosts (localhost, private IP addresses, *.local, *.test) are covered by the same license.

Does the license check slow down my storefront or checkout?

Section titled “Does the license check slow down my storefront or checkout?”

No. The check runs in the admin panel or from cron, once a day. The storefront never runs it.
