FAQ
Why do the figures differ from the core sales reports?
Section titled “Why do the figures differ from the core sales reports?”The core reports count orders of the statuses configured in each report and count every vendor order of a Multi-Vendor checkout. Sales Reports Pro counts only the statuses marked “Payment received” (or the ones you choose), counts a split checkout once and subtracts refunds. The definitions are listed in Usage.
Which orders count?
Section titled “Which orders count?”Orders in the counted statuses (Paid and Complete by default). Open, failed, declined and canceled orders are shown in “Orders by status” but do not count in sales. Incomplete orders are ignored.
How are guests counted as customers?
Section titled “How are guests counted as customers?”By their e-mail address, ignoring upper and lower case. A guest who orders twice with the same address is one returning customer. Registered customers are counted by their account.
Why is the product revenue lower than gross sales?
Section titled “Why is the product revenue lower than gross sales?”Product revenue is item price x quantity minus the item’s share of the order discount. Gross sales are order totals and include shipping and taxes added on top of the prices.
How are refunds counted?
Section titled “How are refunds counted?”From returns of the core RMA add-on (accepted items, in the return statuses of the settings) and from orders in a “refunded” status that you select in the settings. If RMA recalculates the order automatically, the returned items are added back to gross sales, so the refund is not subtracted twice.
Is the product view counter compatible with the full page cache?
Section titled “Is the product view counter compatible with the full page cache?”Yes. Cached product pages are the same for every visitor; the count is sent by a small script after the page has loaded. Each product is counted once per browser session; staff and bots are skipped. Nothing is stored in the visitor’s session.
How fast is it with many orders?
Section titled “How fast is it with many orders?”The reports read a prepared snapshot, not the core order tables. With 200,000 orders the first build took 35 seconds, and every report over a three-year period opened in under 2 seconds.
Can vendors see other vendors’ data?
Section titled “Can vendors see other vendors’ data?”No. With vendor access on, every query of the vendor panel is limited to the vendor’s own company, whatever the request contains. Customer e-mail addresses are hidden from vendors.
Are e-mails sent to customers when I add a segment to a user group?
Section titled “Are e-mails sent to customers when I add a segment to a user group?”No. The customers are added to the group silently. Use the group in a promotion, a usergroup price or your newsletter.
Which currency do the reports use?
Section titled “Which currency do the reports use?”The primary currency of the store, which CS-Cart uses to store order totals.
What happens if the license lapses?
Section titled “What happens if the license lapses?”Without a valid license (no key after the 14-day start period, an invalid or revoked key, a domain the license does not cover, or no successful check for 14 days), no new data is collected: the report snapshot, the product view counter and the e-mail digests stop. Reports and CSV exports of the data collected so far stay available. Once the license is valid again, the add-on catches up with the orders changed in the meantime.
The admin panel shows a license notice.
Section titled “The admin panel shows a license notice.”Open Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Sales Reports Pro → Settings → License. The status line says what is wrong: no key, a key for another add-on, a revoked license, or a domain that the license does not cover. Fix it and click Check now. See License.
Does the add-on work on my staging copy?
Section titled “Does the add-on work on my staging copy?”Yes. Subdomains of your licensed domain (for example staging.yourstore.com) and local development hosts (localhost, private IP addresses, *.local, *.test) are covered by the same license.
Does the license check slow down my storefront or checkout?
Section titled “Does the license check slow down my storefront or checkout?”No. The check runs in the admin panel or from cron, once a day. The storefront never runs it.
Still stuck?
Section titled “Still stuck?”Work through the troubleshooting guide, then contact support with your CS-Cart version, edition, PHP version and the add-on version (1.0.0).
