AI Shopping Assistant

Add-on ID: kv_ai_shopping_assistant · Edition: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor · Latest version: 1.0.0 · Compatible with: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x, PHP 7.4 – 8.3 · Changelog: view

A chat assistant for your storefront that answers from your own store: products, pages, blog posts, FAQ entries and documents you upload. It recommends products as cards with the live price, stock and an Add to cart button, and it checks order status. It runs entirely inside CS-Cart: the knowledge base is stored in your database and searched in PHP, so there is no vector database, no workflow server and no third-party service of ours. You connect your own OpenAI-compatible AI service.

The chat on the storefront

  • Your AI service, your key: OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Mistral, Groq, OpenRouter, or a model on your own server (Ollama, LM Studio). You pay your provider directly.
  • Answers from your store only: retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) over products (name, description, features, options, variations), pages, blog posts, approved reviews (optional), FAQ entries and PDF, TXT or Markdown documents.
  • Live prices and stock: product prices, discounts and stock are read from the store for every answer and never come from the knowledge base. A price check removes sentences with amounts that are not in your store data.
  • Product cards: image, name, current price, old price, stock and Add to cart (or Choose options for products with options).
  • Order status: signed-in customers see their latest orders; guests confirm with the order number, the order e-mail and a one-time code sent by your store’s own mailer. No AI is involved in order lookups.
  • Knowledge gaps: questions the assistant could not answer are grouped with a counter; answer them with an FAQ entry in one click.
  • Control: conversation history with sources and scores, helpful / not helpful ratings, token and cost counter, daily budget, rate limits, prompt-injection protection.
  • Multi-Vendor: choose per vendor whether the assistant may recommend their products; vendors can add their own FAQ entries and documents.
