Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- CS-Cart or CS-Cart Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x (tested on CS-Cart Ultimate 4.17.2 with PHP 8.1, Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 with PHP 8.1 and Multi-Vendor 4.21.2 with PHP 8.3).
- PHP 7.2.5 – 8.3 as supported by your CS-Cart version. The zlib extension is needed for gzip-compressed feeds (it is part of almost every PHP build).
- A cron job (server cron or an external cron service) for scheduled generation.
Install
Section titled “Install”- Go to Add-ons → Manage add-ons and click the + (upload) button.
- Upload
kv_multichannel_feeds-1.0.0.zip. - Click Install. The add-on is active right away.
- Open the add-on, enter your license key on the License tab and click Save (see License).
The add-on creates its tables, a random cron key and a protected directory for the feed files (var/files/kv_multichannel_feeds/, not reachable from the web).
Set up the cron job
Section titled “Set up the cron job”Feeds with a schedule are regenerated by the cron command. Add it to the server cron, for example every 15 minutes:
*/15 * * * * php /home/yourstore/public_html/admin.php --dispatch=kv_multichannel_feeds.cronThe exact command for your store is shown on Settings → General of the add-on and on the Delivery tab of every feed. The console run continues generations that are in progress and starts the feeds whose schedule is due.
Without shell access, call the cron URL (also shown in the settings) from an external cron service. Each call runs for the step time of the settings (20 seconds by default); a large feed is finished over the next calls.
Options: --feed_id=N generates one feed now, --force=Y generates every active feed, --budget=SECONDS limits the run time of a console call.
Upgrade
Section titled “Upgrade”Upload the new zip in Add-ons → Manage add-ons over the installed add-on. Feeds, mappings and settings are kept; new settings and language variables are added automatically on the next admin page view.
Uninstall
Section titled “Uninstall”Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Multichannel Product Feeds → Uninstall removes the feeds, the category mapping, the validation reports, the settings, the language variables and the generated feed files. Remove the cron job too. Your products and categories are not changed.
