Installation and setup
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 or later.
- Administrator access to the store’s admin panel.
- A Walmart US seller account with API access. You create the API key pair yourself: in Seller Center open the API Integration page, choose API Key Management (you are signed in to the Walmart Developer Portal with your Seller Center login) and copy the Client ID and Client Secret of your key pair. Walmart’s documentation lists a separate dynamic sandbox for testing; it needs its own sandbox credentials, because production credentials cannot be used there (see the Walmart developer documentation for how to request them).
- Products with a valid barcode (UPC / EAN / GTIN). Offers are created for items that already exist in the Walmart catalog, matched by GTIN.
- A cron job on your server (see step 6).
Install the add-on
Section titled “Install the add-on”- Download the
kv_walmart-<version>.zippackage from your Kavio Labs or CS-Cart Marketplace account. - In the admin panel, open Add-ons > Manage add-ons.
- Click the gear button and choose Manual installation, then upload the archive.

- Choose Test mode and enter the test client ID and client secret. Save and click Test connection: a green message means the credentials work. Test mode talks to
sandbox.walmartapis.comand asks for Walmart’s dynamic sandbox. - Switch to Live mode and enter the live credentials (your production key pair) only after a successful test; test again. Live mode talks to
marketplace.walmartapis.com. - Open Categories and map each CS-Cart category you sell on Walmart to the “Match” entry (Walmart needs no category for matched offers); set a brand on the mapping or a default brand on Rules.
- Open Rules: price markup and rounding, stock buffer, “I ship with my own carrier” (turn it on: the tracking number is then sent to Walmart), a tracking URL template for carriers Walmart does not know (use
{tracking}). - Add the cron job from the settings page (Cron section), every minute is fine. Overlapping runs are prevented.
- Map products on Listings (product and barcode; the barcode is the SKU). New products are listed automatically when “Create products automatically” is on in Rules.
What is not in this version
Section titled “What is not in this version”Walmart Canada and Mexico, Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) orders, full item setup for items that are not yet in the Walmart catalog (MP_ITEM), refunds, repricer strategies and promotions. Returns are listed read only.
Merchant steps summary (solution provider path)
Section titled “Merchant steps summary (solution provider path)”This add-on uses your own API key pair (client credentials). Walmart also documents a path for approved solution providers (authorization code grant, one application for many sellers). That path needs an approved Walmart application owned by the provider and is not used here; use your own key pair.
Multi-Vendor
Section titled “Multi-Vendor”By default the marketplace owner connects one account for all vendors (Marketplace owner mode on). Switch it off to let each vendor connect their own Walmart account in the vendor panel (Connection tab).
Update
Section titled “Update”- Upload the new package the same way. Your settings, credentials and data are kept.
- The add-on adds missing tables and settings by itself on the first request after the update.
See CHANGELOG for what changed in each version.
Uninstall
Section titled “Uninstall”Open Add-ons > Manage add-ons, click the add-on’s gear button and choose Uninstall. This removes the add-on’s settings, language variables and database tables, including the stored credentials.
