Installation

  • CS-Cart or CS-Cart Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x.
  • PHP 7.2.5 – 8.3 (as supported by your CS-Cart version).
  • A theme based on Responsive, Bright or Nova (the button uses the core Add to cart button hook).
  1. Go to Add-ons > Manage add-ons, click the gear icon and choose Manual installation.
  2. Upload kv_make_an_offer-1.0.0.zip and click Upload & install.
  3. Enter your license key under Settings > License (or the Marketplace license number in Add-ons > Manage).
  4. Review Settings > General (deadlines, automatic answers, promotions) and open a product: the Make an offer button is shown next to Add to cart.

The add-on creates three tables (offers, offer history, rules), the menu item Orders > Offers, seven e-mail templates (Design > Email templates) and the notification group Offers (Administration > Notifications).

Two privileges in the group Offers: View offers (list, offer page, CSV export) and Manage offers (accept, counter-offer, decline, delete). Administrators without them do not see the menu item.

On Multi-Vendor, vendor administrators see Orders > Offers for their own products while Vendors answer offers on their products is on.

Deadlines are checked whenever an offer page, the offers list or a cart is opened, so an expired offer can never be bought. To send the “offer expired” e-mails on time, run this command every hour:

php /home/yourstore/public_html/admin.php --dispatch=kv_make_an_offer.cron

Upload the new package over the installed add-on (Add-ons > Manage add-ons > Manual installation) or use the Upgrade Center. Offers, history and rules are kept; the add-on adds missing tables, settings and texts by itself after the files are replaced.

Uninstalling removes the add-on’s tables (offers, history, rules), settings, texts, e-mail templates and privileges. Export your offers first (Orders > Offers > gear > Export to CSV) if you may need them. Accepted offers that are still in carts are then sold at the normal price. Disabling the add-on instead keeps everything.
