GLS Shipping Labels & Parcel Shops
Edition: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor · Latest version: 1.0.0 · Compatible with: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x, PHP 7.4 – 8.3 · Changelog: view
Integrates CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor with the MyGLS API of GLS Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Slovenia and Croatia: GLS labels from the order page, GLS ParcelShops and Parcel Lockers chosen by the customer at the checkout, cash on delivery, return labels and tracking.
What it does
Section titled “What it does”- Labels. Creates the GLS parcel and its label from the order page (with the number of parcels) or automatically at an order status. PDF for A4 sheets and label printers, ZPL (203 or 300 dpi) for thermal printers; print a label again in another format at any time.
- Cancel. Cancels a label at GLS (the parcel is deleted in MyGLS) as long as it was not handed over.
- GLS ParcelShops and Parcel Lockers. The customer searches GLS points near a postal code or town at the checkout, filters ParcelShops or Parcel Lockers, sees opening hours and the distance, and chooses one. The add-on keeps the public GLS point list of up to 20 countries and refreshes it daily.
- Cash on delivery. Orders paid with your cash on delivery method get the COD amount, currency and reference; points that do not handle cash on delivery are refused.
- Extra GLS services per shipping method: FlexDelivery e-mail and SMS (FDS, FSS), SMS pre-advice (SM2), insurance (INS), 24H, express (T09, T10, T12), Saturday (SAT), Think Green (TGS).
- Return labels from the customer to you with one click (optional SRS or PRS service).
- Tracking every two hours with the GLS status codes: created, in transit, waiting at the GLS point, delivered, problem, returned; the tracking link goes to the GLS tracking page, also on the customer’s order page and in shipment e-mails.
- No double parcels. Every label request is recorded before it is sent and protected by a lock; if GLS does not answer, “Check at GLS” finds the parcel by its reference instead of creating a second one.
- Data protection first: the customer’s e-mail address and phone number are only sent when a GLS service needs them (point delivery, FDS, SMS) or when you switch it on.
- Credentials stored encrypted, test and live systems, job queue with retries, log with CSV export.
- Multi-Vendor: one MyGLS account for the marketplace (vendors see their labels) or one account per vendor (vendors create their own labels in the vendor panel).
What it does not do
Section titled “What it does not do”- The MyGLS API has no price operation: the customer pays the prices you enter on the shipping methods (flat or by weight).
- The MyGLS API covers GLS Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Slovenia and Croatia. GLS Germany, Austria and other GLS countries use other GLS systems and are not supported in this version (the point picker still lists their GLS points).
- No customs documents and no pickup orders in this version.
Compatibility
Section titled “Compatibility”- CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 to 4.21.x, CS-Cart, CS-Cart Ultimate, Multi-Vendor and Multi-Vendor Ultimate.
- PHP 7.4 to 8.3, depending on your CS-Cart version. The queue needs a cron job.
- You need a GLS contract with MyGLS access (user name, password, client number). GLS gives test accounts for the MyGLS test system through your local GLS IT contact.
