Installation

Requirements

• CS-Cart or CS-Cart Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x (tested on CS-Cart Ultimate 4.17.2 with PHP 8.1, Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 with PHP 8.1 and Multi-Vendor 4.21.2 with PHP 8.3).
• PHP 7.2.5 – 8.3, as supported by your CS-Cart version, with the cURL extension.
• Outgoing HTTPS from your server to api.telegram.org, graph.facebook.com and your SMS gateway (most hosts allow it).
• An account with at least one channel: a Telegram bot (free), a WhatsApp Business Platform app with a phone number (Meta), a Twilio account or another SMS gateway with an HTTP API. See Configuration.
• No other add-on is required.

Install

1. Go to Add-ons → Manage add-ons, click the gear button and choose Manual installation.
2. Upload kv_order_notifications_messaging-<version>.zip and click Upload & install.
3. The add-on is active right away with ready-made rules (new order to staff on Telegram, order confirmation, status updates and shipment to customers on WhatsApp, low stock and reviews to staff; on Multi-Vendor also to vendors). Rules of channels that are not set up yet send nothing.
4. On the License tab of the settings, enter your license key and save. If you bought the add-on on the CS-Cart Marketplace and entered the license number in Add-ons → Manage add-ons, you can skip this step. Until a key is verified, the add-on works for 14 days (see License).
5. Set up your channels on the Telegram, WhatsApp and SMS tabs and test them with the buttons on each tab (Configuration).
6. Enter your team’s Telegram chats, WhatsApp or SMS numbers on the General tab, and your Default country calling code if customers type their phone number without the + prefix.
7. Optional: add the cron line shown on the General tab. Messages are sent right after the request that queued them; cron retries failed messages when the store is quiet.
8. Open Orders → Order messaging to see the rules and the delivery log.

Installation creates four tables (cscart_kv_onm_messages, cscart_kv_onm_rules, cscart_kv_onm_optins, cscart_kv_onm_vendors) and two privileges (view_kv_order_messaging, manage_kv_order_messaging). No core files or core tables are changed.

Upgrade

Upload the new package over the installed add-on (same steps as installing). On the next admin page load the add-on brings its tables, settings and language variables up to date by itself. Rules, the delivery log, opt-ins, vendor settings and credentials are kept.

Disable

Disabling the add-on (status Off) stops all messages and hides the opt-in checkbox. Orders and checkout are not affected. Rules, the log and opt-ins are kept. To pause messages but keep the pages, turn off Send notifications on the General tab instead.

Uninstall

Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Telegram & WhatsApp Order Notifications → gear → Uninstall removes the rules, the delivery log, the customer opt-ins, the vendor settings, the settings and credentials, the privileges and the language variables. Orders and all other core data are not touched.
