In CS-Cart the page title, meta description and meta keywords are typed by hand for every product, category, brand and page. Imported or large catalogs usually have them empty, and the storefront then falls back to the bare product name and a description cut from the text. SEO Meta Templates builds this meta from templates with variables, such as Buy {product}[ by {brand}] | {store}, and fills the gaps automatically.

• Templates for every page type: products, categories, brand pages (feature variants), vendor pages (Multi-Vendor) and CMS pages including blog posts. One template per field: page title, meta description, meta keywords.
• Variables: {product}, {category}, {parent_category}, {brand}, {price}, {sku}, {vendor}, {short_description}, {description}, {feature:Color} (any product feature by name), {min_price}, {product_count}, {page_no}, {store}, {year} and more.
• Simple, safe syntax: fallbacks {brand|category|"Shop"}, optional text [ by {brand}] that disappears when the brand is empty, automatic clean-up of separators left over by empty variables.
• Scopes: general templates plus overrides per category (with subcategories), per brand feature, per storefront and per language. The most specific template wins for each field.
• Only when empty or override: by default the meta you entered for an object always wins and the template only fills empty fields. A template can also override the entered meta on the storefront without touching the stored value.
• Length control: titles are kept to 60 and descriptions to 155 characters (both adjustable), cut on a word boundary. A title that is too long first drops its optional parts.
• Live preview: see the result on any product, category, brand, vendor or page while you type, with a search result look-alike and the character counts.
• Meta audit: lists objects with an empty, too long or duplicate title or description, per type and language, and shows what the template generates for the empty ones.
• Bulk fill: writes the generated meta into the empty fields of the whole catalog in batches, for tools that read the stored fields. Every run can be undone.
• Plays well with others: the add-on sets the same values the theme already prints, so there is exactly one title and one description. The core SEO add-on and SEO Pro Suite (its social cards follow the generated values) keep working unchanged. Full page cache safe.
