FAQ

Do I need Telegram & WhatsApp Order Notifications?

Section titled “Do I need Telegram & WhatsApp Order Notifications?”

Yes, version 1.1 or later. It holds the WhatsApp Cloud API connection, the opt-in list, the queue and the webhook. Meta allows one webhook URL per app, so WhatsApp Commerce receives the replies through it instead of a second webhook.

Do I need Order Risk Guard, Abandoned Cart Recovery Pro, Review Request Emails or Back-in-Stock Alerts?

Section titled “Do I need Order Risk Guard, Abandoned Cart Recovery Pro, Review Request Emails or Back-in-Stock Alerts?”

No. With them the flows use their codes, restore links, coupons, review links and alert subscriptions. Without them the COD, cart and review flows use built-in versions; the stock flow needs Back-in-Stock Alerts.

Meta charges per delivered template message. The price depends on the template category (marketing, utility, authentication) and the recipient’s country, and Meta changes its rates from time to time; see the rate card in WhatsApp Manager. The report counts your messages per category, month and calling code so you can estimate it. The add-on does not include message credits.

Meta reviews every template and decides its category. The texts on the Templates page are plain, transactional where possible and contain no promotional claims, but approval is Meta’s decision.

Only numbers that ticked the WhatsApp opt-in (Order Notifications) and did not opt out. COD confirmations and payment reminders follow the consent mode of Order Notifications. STOP always opts out.

Can someone else confirm my customer’s order?

Section titled “Can someone else confirm my customer’s order?”

No. A tap is accepted only from the phone number of the order, and only while the order waits for confirmation.

COD and payment messages go to the phone of the order, also for guests. Cart reminders need a signed-in customer (the phone comes from the profile).

One COD and one payment message per checkout (all vendor orders), sent from the store’s WhatsApp number. Vendors have no access to the add-on pages.

Was it tested with a real WhatsApp number?

Section titled “Was it tested with a real WhatsApp number?”

Not yet. It was tested against a local mock of the WhatsApp Cloud API (template sends, signed webhook replies) on CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2.

Work through the troubleshooting guide, then contact support with your CS-Cart version, edition, PHP version and the add-on version (1.0.0).
