Configuration
Settings: Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Min/Max Order & Quantity Rules → Settings. The rules themselves are in Products → Quantity rules.
General
Section titled “General”| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Enable quantity rules | On | Switches every rule off without deleting it. CS-Cart’s own per-product quantity settings and minimum order amount keep working. |
| Show rule notes on product pages | On | Lists the rules of a product (case pack, minimum, maximum, customer limit, cart minimum, vendor minimum) under the quantity field. |
| Show unmet rules in the cart | On | Shows the “Before you check out” panel below the cart items, with what to add or remove, and notes on each cart line. |
| Orders created or edited in the admin panel | Warn and allow | Warn and allow: the order editor shows the unmet rules as warnings and the administrator can still place the order. Block: such orders cannot be placed. |
| Check orders created through the REST API | On | API orders that break a rule are refused with HTTP 403 and the rule messages. |
| Count guest purchases by e-mail | On | Customer purchase limits also count earlier orders placed with the same e-mail address. Without it, guests are limited per cart only. |
| Vendors can set their own minimum order | Off | Multi-Vendor only. Vendors see the minimum order fields on their own profile. Administrators can always set them on the vendor page. |
In CS-Cart Ultimate the General settings can be set per storefront.
Products → Quantity rules lists the rules with their type, scope, limits, priority and status. Add rule opens the editor:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Shown in the admin panel only. |
| Status | Active or Disabled. |
| Rule type | Product quantity, Cart or group total or Customer purchase limit (see Usage). |
| Priority | Lower numbers are checked first. For product quantity rules the first matching rule wins. |
| Applies to | All products, categories (with or without subcategories), products or, in Multi-Vendor, vendors. |
| Except these products | Products the rule never applies to. |
| User groups | Guest, Registered user and your customer groups. Empty = every customer. |
| Storefronts | Shown when the store has several storefronts. Empty = every storefront. |
| Limits | The fields of the chosen rule type. Empty = no limit. |
| Own message for shoppers | Optional text that replaces the default message. Placeholders: [limit], [current], [missing], [scope], [product], [remaining], [period]. |
Vendor minimum order (Multi-Vendor)
Section titled “Vendor minimum order (Multi-Vendor)”Vendors → Vendors → (vendor) → General has a Minimum order section: minimum order amount and minimum order quantity. Each vendor’s part of the cart must reach them. With Vendors can set their own minimum order on, vendors edit the same fields on their own profile.
License
Section titled “License”The license status is shown in a License card at the top of the add-on page, above the tabs, so you see it on every tab. The License tab holds the key itself. The key is stored once for the whole installation.

The License card shows:
- the status in color: green when valid, blue for a development host or the 14-day period before a key is required (with the days left), amber when the license server could not be reached (with the days left) or a Marketplace number is still being verified, red when the add-on is switched off;
- in plain words what the status means and, when the add-on is (or will be) switched off, what stops: quantity rules, order limits and vendor minimums are not checked or shown; CS-Cart’s own per-product quantity settings and minimum order amount still apply;
- the licensed domain, every storefront with its result (covered, development host, not covered), the end of the updates and support period, the last and the next check, and the key in use (masked);
- the actions Enter license key / Change license key (opens the License tab), Check now (verifies at once and stays on the page), Manage license (your licenses on cs-cart.kaviolabs.com) and, without a valid license, Buy a license.
In Add-ons → Manage add-ons the add-on’s row shows a small license badge next to its name, for example License: Valid or License: Pending · 9 days left. The Quantity rules pages show the license status in a bar at the top.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| License key | Your Kavio Labs license key (KAVIO-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, from My licenses on cs-cart.kaviolabs.com) or your CS-Cart Marketplace license number. If you entered the Marketplace license number in Add-ons → Manage add-ons (the add-on’s license field), leave this empty: the add-on uses that number. |
| License status | Points to the License card and explains what the check sends. |
What the license covers. A license is bound to the base domain you entered at purchase (for example yourstore.com) and covers every subdomain of it (www.yourstore.com, shop.yourstore.com, staging.yourstore.com). Local development hosts are always allowed: localhost, 127.0.0.1 and other private IP addresses, and host names ending in .localhost, .test, .local, .example or .invalid. A store on a different base domain needs its own license. If you move your store to a new domain, contact support.
When the add-on checks. When you save the key, and then once a day. The check runs only in the admin panel (on a page you open) or from cron, never while customers browse the storefront or place orders. A cron job keeps the license verified even when nobody opens the admin panel:
php /path/to/store/admin.php --dispatch=kv_order_quantity_rules_license.checkWhat is sent. The check sends this to https://cs-cart.kaviolabs.com and nothing else: the license key, the add-on ID and version, the host names of your storefronts, your CS-Cart version and edition, and a random one-time value. No customer or order data is sent. The server answers with a digitally signed result, so a forged answer is ignored.
