Petal Theme

Petal is a classic, conversion-first storefront theme for florists, gift shops and occasion stores. Every standard e-commerce element sits where shoppers expect it, and the theme answers the questions gift buyers ask first: “can it arrive on the day?” (a “When do you need it?” date bar, a same-day cut-off countdown and an arrival line on every product), “what fits the occasion?” (occasion gift tags), “which size?” (size and vase buttons with prices) and “can I add a card and a little extra?” (a hand-written card message on every order and an “Add a little extra” row on product pages).

What you get

  • The Petal theme, a child of the standard Responsive theme, so every add-on keeps working.
  • Four styles:
    • Peony (default): petal-white pages, evergreen buttons and top bar, peony-pink delivery stamps and date chips, leaf-cut corners on product images.
    • Meadow: white pages, a buttercup top bar, poppy buttons, ticket cards with a perforated stub.
    • Lilac: lavender pages, plum buttons, marigold stamps, ribbon-tail section titles, soft rounded cards.
    • Nocturne (dark): a blue-black night garden with peony buttons and lime stamps.
  • “When do you need it?” date bar under the menu: Today, Tomorrow and the next days as buttons plus Pick a date. The shopper’s choice is kept in their browser and every product card then says whether it can arrive in time (“Can arrive Sat, Oct 25” or “Earliest Mon, Oct 27”). Category and search pages offer Only show what arrives in time.
  • Same-day cut-off countdown in the top bar and on product pages (“Same-day delivery: order within 02:14:36”); after the cut-off it says when the next delivery is. Cut-off time and delivery days are settings.
  • Delivery stamps and arrival lines on product cards from the product feature Earliest delivery (Same day, Next day, In 2 days).
  • Occasion gift tags: Birthday, Anniversary, Love & romance, Thank you, New baby, Get well and Sympathy as hanging gift tags on a twine line (a categories block: use your own occasions).
  • Size and vase buttons with prices (Classic / Deluxe / Grand, No vase / Glass vase / Stoneware jug, Nursery pot / Ceramic pot) from normal product options, and “from” prices on cards.
  • Product page: delivery panel with the date buttons, the arrival line, the countdown and your delivery-area note; a gift card with a hand-written sample message; Add a little extra (cards, chocolates, balloons, vases) with add buttons; care facts (stems, vase life, height, light, pet-friendly) and a florist’s note.
  • Make it a gift band on the homepage: three steps, a lined card with a hand-written message and three extras with add buttons.
  • Works with Kavio add-ons: with Delivery Date & Time Slots the countdown uses its real cut-off, its delivery estimate appears inside the Petal delivery panel and its checkout day picker pre-selects the shopper’s chosen day when that day is offered; with Gift Wrap & Messages the card hints point to its gift panel at checkout.
  • Header: top bar with the countdown, your delivery area and quick links, logo, pill search, labelled Account, Wish list and Basket, and a mega menu band with a Same-day item and a Sale item.
  • Homepage: hero slider (headline, text, two buttons and a product ticket on a florist scene; edited as banners), occasion tags, Same-day favourites / Bestsellers / New this season tabs, the gift band, Easy-care plants / Orchids / Gift boxes & hampers tabs, two promo banners, a promise strip, review quotes with a rating summary, the Flower journal (blog), on Multi-Vendor local florists, newsletter and footer.
  • Phones: compact header with the full search below, swipeable date buttons, a bottom bar (Home, Shop, Search, Account, Basket), swipe rows, a filter sheet, a swipe gallery and the sticky add-to-cart bar.
  • Installs with complete demo content: the store looks finished right after activation.
  • Self-hosted fonts (Gloock, Karla and Caveat, SIL Open Font License); no external font requests.

Compatibility

  • CS-Cart, CS-Cart Ultimate, Multi-Vendor and Multi-Vendor Ultimate 4.17.2 – 4.21.x (tested on 4.17.2 and 4.21.2).
  • PHP 7.2.5 to 8.3, depending on your CS-Cart version.
  • Works with the full page cache of 4.21: theme output holds catalogue data and settings only; the dates, the countdown and the arrival lines are calculated in the shopper’s browser.

Licence

Petal uses a domain-bound licence like every Kavio Labs product. Without a valid licence (after the 14-day period of a new installation, or 14 days after the licence server became unreachable) the storefront shows the standard Responsive look instead of the Petal design; cart, checkout and orders keep working and visitors see no message.
