Installation and setup

  • CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 or later.
  • Administrator access to the store’s admin panel.
  • Optional: an EPREL API key (request it from the European Commission at https://eprel.ec.europa.eu/screen/requestpublicapikey; read their Public API terms first). Without a key you type or import the class and the label and sheet are linked at EPREL.
  • A cron job on your server if you use an API key (see step 5).
  1. Download the kv_eu_energy_label-<version>.zip package from your Kavio Labs or CS-Cart Marketplace account.
  2. In the admin panel, open Add-ons > Manage add-ons.
  3. Click the gear button and choose Manual installation, then upload the archive.
  4. Find EU Energy Label & EPREL Display in the list and make sure its status is Active.
  5. Enter your license key under Settings > License (Kavio Labs downloads) and click Check now.
  1. Open a product that carries an EU energy label and its Energy label tab.
  2. Enter the EPREL registration number (the number beside the QR code on the label) and the product group.
  3. Type the class (for example B), or leave it empty to have it read from EPREL when a key is set. Save the product.
  4. Open the product page: the arrow shows beside the price, and a click opens the label.
  1. Open Products > Energy labels and the Connection tab.
  2. Paste the API key, enter a product group and the registration number of a published model for the test, and click Save and test. A green message means the key is accepted.
  3. Add the cron job from the settings page (Cron section); every minute is fine. Overlapping runs are prevented. Registrations are read in small batches (see Configuration).
  4. Compare the three address templates in the settings with the API documentation you received with your key, and change them if they differ (see the verification table in the developer notes).

By default the marketplace owner’s key serves every vendor (Marketplace owner mode on). Vendors see Products > Energy labels in the vendor panel for their own products, with the same product tab and the CSV import. Switch the owner mode off to let each vendor save their own key.

  1. Upload the new package the same way. Your settings, key and data are kept.
  2. The add-on adds missing tables and settings by itself on the first request after the update.

See CHANGELOG for what changed in each version.

Open Add-ons > Manage add-ons, click the add-on’s gear button and choose Uninstall. This removes the add-on’s settings, language variables, database tables (including the stored key and your label data) and the stored label files.
