Min/Max Order & Quantity Rules sets the order limits CS-Cart does not have out of the box: case packs and quantity steps by category, product or vendor, purchase limits per customer and period for limited editions, cart minimums and maximums, mix-and-match multiples across a category and a minimum order for each vendor of a marketplace. Shoppers see the rules on the product page and in the cart before they check out, and every limit is also checked on the server when an order is placed, including admin and REST API orders.
Key features
Section titled “Key features”- Product quantity rules: minimum, maximum and “sold in multiples of” (case pack) per cart line, for categories, products or vendors. The quantity field steps by the pack size.
- Customer purchase limits: for example 2 per customer every 30 days, per product or for all matching products together. Earlier orders of the customer count (by account, guests by e-mail).
- Cart and group totals: minimum and maximum amount (before or after order discounts), minimum and maximum total quantity, total quantity in multiples of N (mixed case), minimum and maximum number of different products.
- Multi-Vendor: a minimum order per vendor (set by the administrator or, if you allow it, by the vendor) and any cart rule checked per vendor.
- Scoped: every rule can be limited to customer groups and storefronts, with product exceptions and a priority.
- Clear messages: notes on the product page, a “Before you check out” panel in the cart with what to add or remove, notes on each cart line, and the checkout opens only when the cart meets the rules. Each rule can have its own message.
- Enforced everywhere: add to cart, cart update, checkout, place order, admin orders (warning with override, or block) and REST API orders (HTTP 403 with the messages).
- Extends CS-Cart’s own settings: the per-product minimum, maximum and step and the store minimum order amount keep working; the rules are combined with them.
- Full page cache safe (CS-Cart 4.21): product page notes are the same for every guest; per-customer counts are read only in the cart and at checkout.
