Installation
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- CS-Cart or CS-Cart Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x.
- PHP 7.2.5 – 8.3.
- MySQL or MariaDB with InnoDB (standard on every CS-Cart host).
Install
Section titled “Install”- Go to Add-ons → Manage add-ons, click the + (Upload & install add-on) button and choose the add-on archive.
- The add-on is installed and active and starts recording at once. Open its settings to enter your license key (License tab).
- Open Administration → Activity log to see the entries. Your own sign-in is usually the first one.
- Optional: enter the e-mail addresses for alerts on the Alerts tab of the settings.
- Optional: add the daily retention task to your cron (see Configuration).
The log starts empty: changes made before the installation are not known.
Privileges
Section titled “Privileges”The add-on adds two privileges to the Administration section of the user group privileges:
- View the activity log: the log, entry pages, History tabs and the CSV export;
- Manage the activity log: purge and integrity check.
Root administrators have both. Give them to other administrator groups in Customers → User groups.
Upgrading
Section titled “Upgrading”Upload the new archive in Add-ons → Manage add-ons (or use the Upgrade Center when it offers the update). The add-on brings its database tables, settings and texts up to date by itself; the log is kept.
Uninstalling
Section titled “Uninstalling”Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Admin Activity Log & Audit Trail → Uninstall deletes the whole log, the settings and the texts. Export the log as CSV first if you need to keep it. Disabling the add-on keeps the log; nothing is recorded while it is disabled.
