Configuration

Add-ons > Manage add-ons > WhatsApp Commerce Suite. Each flow has its own tab. The General tab shows which add-ons are active and whether WhatsApp is connected.

Setting Meaning
Enable WhatsApp Commerce Master switch. When off, no new messages are sent; answers to messages already sent still work.
Attribution window (days) An order counts as recovered when the customer orders (cart, back in stock) or pays (payment reminder) within this many days after the message. Default 3.
Messages per run Upper limit per cron run for the cart, payment and review flows together. Default 50.
Cron Console command (php /path/to/store/admin.php --dispatch=kv_whatsapp_commerce.cron) and a cron URL with a secret key. Every 15 minutes is enough.
Setting Meaning
Template name Name of an approved template, e.g. cart_reminder.
Template language Language code of the template, e.g. en_US. When the template has an approved translation in the customer’s language (order or cart language), that one is used.
Body parameters One variable per {{n}} placeholder of the template body, separated by commas, in order. The variables of each flow are listed on the Templates page and in the tooltips. Use \, for a literal comma.

Empty values are sent as - (WhatsApp rejects empty parameters).

Setting Meaning
Send the COD confirmation on WhatsApp On/off.
Template Utility template with two quick-reply buttons: first = Confirm, second = Cancel. The add-on fills the button payloads (confirm_<order>, cancel_<order>). Variables: {firstname}, {lastname}, {order_id}, {total}, {order_url}, {store}, {code}, {confirm_url}.
Payment methods Only without Order Risk Guard 1.1: orders with these methods get the message when they are placed.
Status after “Confirm” / “Cancel” Only without Order Risk Guard 1.1. “Do not change” keeps the status and only adds a staff note.
Answer after “Confirm” / “Cancel” Short free-form text sent right after the tap (inside the 24-hour service window). Empty = no answer. Variables as above.

With Order Risk Guard 1.1 or later, the message goes out when Order Risk Guard sends its confirmation request (also on “Resend”), with its 6-digit code as {code} and its link as {confirm_url}; the tap confirms or cancels through Order Risk Guard (same statuses, expiry, log and staff note, source “WhatsApp”). Orders held for a risk review are not confirmed by the customer.

Setting Meaning
Send abandoned cart reminders On/off.
Send after Hours without cart activity. Default 3.
Add a coupon With Abandoned Cart Recovery Pro: a single-use coupon of the promotion of its first reminder step (a still valid coupon of the cart is reused).
URL button suffix Only for templates with a “Visit website” button whose URL ends with {{1}}: e.g. {restore_path}.
Variables {firstname}, {cart_items} (“Linen shirt and 2 more”), {cart_count}, {cart_total}, {restore_url}, {restore_path}, {coupon_code}, {coupon_text}, {coupon_expires}.

Only carts of signed-in customers are reminded (the phone comes from the customer profile) and only if that phone ticked the WhatsApp opt-in. With Abandoned Cart Recovery Pro 1.2+ the restore link is its signed one-click link and its e-mail reminders keep running; the cart page there lists the WhatsApp message. Without it, the built-in capture reads the saved carts of signed-in customers, sends one reminder per cart state and links to the cart (the customer signs in to see it).

Setting Meaning
Order statuses that wait for the payment E.g. Open for bank transfers.
Send after Hours after the order. Default 12. Orders older than 7 days are never reminded.
Variables {firstname}, {lastname}, {order_id}, {total}, {order_url}, {store}.

One reminder per order (one per checkout on Multi-Vendor). Recovered when the order reaches a status with “payment received”.

Setting Meaning
Order status / Days after Only without Review Request Emails: the request is planned when an order reaches the status and sent after the days.
Variables {firstname}, {order_id}, {total}, {product_name}, {review_url}, {store}.

With Review Request Emails, the WhatsApp message goes out one day after its e-mail (if no review came yet) with the same review link, so its statistics count the review.

Adds WhatsApp to the channels of Price Drop & Back-in-Stock Alerts. A subscriber is reachable when the subscription belongs to a customer account (or an e-mail of an account) whose phone opted in. Variables: {firstname}, {product_name}, {product_url}, {price}, {old_price}, {alert}.

  • Marketing messages (cart, review, back in stock) go only to numbers with an explicit WhatsApp opt-in in Order Notifications.
  • Utility messages (COD confirmation, payment reminder) follow the consent mode of Order Notifications.
  • A number that opted out (STOP, unsubscribe page) gets nothing.
