How is this different from CS-Cart’s quantity discounts?
Section titled “How is this different from CS-Cart’s quantity discounts?”Core lets you set prices per user group and quantity on each product page. Wholesale Price Lists adds named lists that you manage in one place, prices for individual customers, percent discounts, a discount on all other products, validity dates, priorities, CSV import and export, and a price list page for your customers. Both work together: with “Never charge more than the regular price” on, a customer never pays more than the core user group price.
Do guests see list prices?
Section titled “Do guests see list prices?”No. Lists apply only to signed-in customers. Guests and customers without a list see your regular prices, and cached pages never contain list prices.
Does it work with the full page cache (4.21)?
Section titled “Does it work with the full page cache (4.21)?”Yes. The full page cache serves cached pages to guests only; signed-in customers always get fresh pages with their prices. Cached product blocks and the product markup for search engines are kept separately per price list set.
Which price wins when a customer has several lists?
Section titled “Which price wins when a customer has several lists?”By default the lowest price for every product and quantity. You can switch to “Highest priority list wins” in the settings, so a contract list with priority 1 always wins over a general trade list. See Several lists for one customer.
Do promotions apply on top of list prices?
Section titled “Do promotions apply on top of list prices?”Yes, catalog and cart promotions are calculated on the list price, like on any price. Exclude the trade user group in a promotion’s conditions if it should not apply to trade customers.
Can a list raise prices?
Section titled “Can a list raise prices?”Only if you turn off “Never charge more than the regular price”. With the default setting a list can only lower the price.
In which currency are list prices?
Section titled “In which currency are list prices?”In your primary currency, like all product prices. Customers who switch the currency see the converted price.
How do I import thousands of prices?
Section titled “How do I import thousands of prices?”Use Import / export on the list with a CSV file of SKU, quantity, type and value (see CSV import and export). Files of up to 200,000 rows are fine; split larger ones.
Can vendors create their own price lists (Multi-Vendor)?
Section titled “Can vendors create their own price lists (Multi-Vendor)?”Not in 1.0.0: the marketplace administrator manages the lists, which can contain products of every vendor. Vendor-defined lists are planned for 1.1.
Why does sorting by price use the regular price?
Section titled “Why does sorting by price use the regular price?”Sorting and the price filter are done by the database for all customers at once. Customers still see and pay their list price on every product.
What happens if the license lapses?
Section titled “What happens if the license lapses?”Without a valid license (no key after the 14-day start period, an invalid or revoked key, a domain the license does not cover, or no successful check for 14 days), price lists stop applying: customers see and pay the regular catalog prices again. Your lists, prices and assignments are kept and can still be edited, imported and exported; orders already placed keep their prices. Once the license is valid again, the lists apply again.
The admin panel shows a license notice.
Section titled “The admin panel shows a license notice.”Open Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Wholesale Price Lists: the License card at the top says what is wrong: no key, a key for another add-on, a revoked license, or a domain that the license does not cover. Fix it on the License tab and click Check now. See License.
Does the add-on work on my staging copy?
Section titled “Does the add-on work on my staging copy?”Yes. Subdomains of your licensed domain (for example staging.example.com) and local development hosts (localhost, private IP addresses, *.local, *.test) are covered by the same license.
What happens if your license server is down?
Section titled “What happens if your license server is down?”Nothing changes for 14 days: the add-on keeps working and retries every hour. Only if no check succeeds for 14 days is it switched off until the next successful check.
Does the license check slow down my storefront or checkout?
Section titled “Does the license check slow down my storefront or checkout?”No. The check runs only in the admin panel or from cron, at most once a day, never while customers browse or check out.
Still stuck?
Section titled “Still stuck?”Work through the troubleshooting guide, then contact support with your CS-Cart version, edition, PHP version and the add-on version (1.0.0).
