Installation
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x.
- PHP 7.2.5 – 8.3 (the range your CS-Cart version supports).
- Optional: the Product reviews (or Comments and reviews) add-on for rating rules, the Tags add-on for tag rules.
Install
Section titled “Install”- Go to Add-ons → Manage add-ons and click the + (Upload & install add-on) button.
- Upload
kv_smart_collections-1.0.0.zipand click Upload & install. - The add-on is installed and active. Open Products → Smart collections to create the first collection.
- Enter your license key in the add-on settings (License tab). Without a key the add-on works for 14 days.
- Recommended for large catalogs: add the cron job shown in the add-on settings (Scheduled sync).
Upgrade
Section titled “Upgrade”Upload the new archive over the installed add-on in Add-ons → Manage add-ons. Collections, settings and the category links stay. The add-on brings its database and settings up to date on the next admin page view.
Disable
Section titled “Disable”When the add-on is disabled, collections stop updating. Products already linked to collection categories stay where they are. Products blocks with the Smart collection filling are switched off (the core would otherwise fill them with arbitrary products) and switched on again when you enable the add-on.
To empty a collection category before disabling, open the collection and choose Clear links and disable in the gear menu.
Uninstall
Section titled “Uninstall”Uninstalling removes the add-on’s tables, settings and texts and every product link the add-on created. Main categories and links you made by hand stay. The categories themselves stay (now empty, or with your manual links); delete them in Products → Categories if you no longer need them. Products blocks that used the Smart collection filling stay switched off: delete them or choose another filling in Design → Layouts.
