Installation
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x.
- PHP 7.2.5 – 8.3, as supported by your CS-Cart version.
- Tested on CS-Cart Ultimate 4.17.2, Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 and Multi-Vendor 4.21.2.
- A storefront theme based on Responsive or Nova (the default themes and most third-party themes).
- Recommended: a cron job that runs every hour (see Configuration).
Install
Section titled “Install”- Go to Add-ons → Manage add-ons, click the gear button and choose Manual installation.
- Upload
kv_net_terms_credit_limit-<version>.zipand click Upload & install. - On the License tab of the settings, enter your license key and save. If you bought the add-on on the CS-Cart Marketplace and entered the license number in Add-ons → Manage add-ons, you can skip this step. Until a key is verified, the add-on works for 14 days (see License).
- Check the Settings tab: default terms, what happens with orders over the available credit, reminders.
- Give your first customers net terms: approve an application, add an account in Customers → Net terms & credit, or switch on net terms for a usergroup.
What the installation does:
- creates seven tables (
cscart_kv_ntcl_*) for credit accounts, usergroup terms, invoices, payments, applications, a history log and a rate limiter; - creates the order statuses Awaiting payment (net terms) and Credit review (stock stays reserved, not counted as paid, not counted for vendor payouts); if they exist from an earlier installation, they are reused;
- creates the payment method Net terms (pay by invoice) in Administration → Payment methods (an offline method with the add-on’s PO number form);
- creates six e-mail templates in Design → E-mail templates, the privileges View / Manage net terms and credit accounts and a secret cron key.
No core files are changed.
Upgrade
Section titled “Upgrade”Upload the new package over the installed add-on (same steps as installing). On the next admin page load the add-on brings its tables, settings and language variables up to date by itself. Accounts, invoices, payments and settings are kept.
Disable
Section titled “Disable”Disabling the add-on (status Off) hides the Net terms payment method and stops new net-terms orders. Existing orders keep their status and data; invoices, payment links and reminders come back when you enable it again. While it is off the add-on does nothing, so payments you receive meanwhile are recorded on the invoices once it is on again (or by changing the order status to Processed after enabling it).
Uninstall
Section titled “Uninstall”Add-ons → Manage add-ons → B2B Net Terms & Credit Limits → gear → Uninstall:
- removes the add-on’s tables, settings, language variables, e-mail templates, privileges and run marks — including credit accounts, invoices, recorded payments and applications, so export what you need first (accounts, invoices and statements have CSV exports);
- deletes the order statuses if no order uses them; otherwise they stay so those orders keep a valid status;
- deletes the Net terms payment method if no order uses it; otherwise it is disabled and switched to the core purchase order form so those orders keep their payment method.
Orders themselves are never changed or deleted.
