Usage

Create a catalog

Open Products → PDF catalogs and click Add catalog.
Enter a name. On the Products tab choose categories or products.
On the Design tab pick a layout, then enter a cover title and an introduction.
On the Prices and columns tab choose whose prices to show and the columns.
Keep Build the PDF when saving ticked and click Create. The bar at the top shows the result: products, pages, file size and build time, with a Download button.

The catalog list shows every catalog as a card with its layout, size, schedule and who can download it, and buttons to Rebuild PDF, Download, Edit, Duplicate and Delete.

Line sheets for trade customers

Create a catalog with the Line sheet layout.
Prices and columns: choose your wholesale user group under Prices for and tick Minimum order quantity.
General: under Who can download tick only Registered or your wholesale group.
Enter a footer note such as “Trade prices excl. VAT, valid until 31 March”.

Guests do not see the line sheet; if they open its link they are asked to sign in.

Offer downloads on the storefront

Catalog page: index.php?dispatch=kv_pdf_catalog.catalogs. Add it to your menu in Website → Menus (link type “URL”).
Block: Design → Layouts, add a block of type PDF catalog downloads to any location, for example the home page or the footer. The block lists the catalogs the visitor may download; it stays hidden when there are none.

Downloads go through the store (kv_pdf_catalog.download); the files themselves are not reachable from the web.

Multi-Vendor

With Vendors can make catalogs of their own products on, vendors find Products → PDF catalogs in the vendor panel and build catalogs of their own active products. Their catalogs appear:

in the PDF catalog downloads block on their vendor store page;
on the catalog page of the vendor: index.php?dispatch=kv_pdf_catalog.catalogs&company_id=<vendor id>.

Marketplace catalogs (made by the administrator) can include products of all vendors.

Keep catalogs current

Choose Rebuild automatically on the catalog and set up the server cron (see Configuration). Without a cron the add-on rebuilds one due catalog after an admin page is opened. You can always rebuild by hand with Rebuild PDF.
