FAQ
Does it work with CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor?
Section titled “Does it work with CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor?”Yes, in CS-Cart (Ultimate) and Multi-Vendor. In Multi-Vendor the marketplace owner can use one CJ account for everyone or let each vendor connect their own; vendors only ever see their own products and orders.
Which CS-Cart versions are supported?
Section titled “Which CS-Cart versions are supported?”4.17.2 to 4.21.x.
Do I need a paid CJ account?
Section titled “Do I need a paid CJ account?”No. A free CJ account with an API key works. Free accounts may call the API once per second, so the add-on checks a small batch of products per run; set “CJ requests per second” to your account level to go faster.
Where is my CJ API key stored?
Section titled “Where is my CJ API key stored?”In your own database, encrypted. The key is derived from your store’s secret in config.php, so a database dump alone does not reveal it. It is never shown again after saving and never written to the log.
Does it send data to Kavio Labs?
Section titled “Does it send data to Kavio Labs?”No. The add-on talks to CJ Dropshipping only. The license check sends your domain name to the Kavio Labs license server once a day (Kavio Labs downloads).
Can an order reach CJ twice?
Section titled “Can an order reach CJ twice?”No. The order is recorded with a fixed CJ order number before it is sent, CJ is asked for that number before every create, and a timeout is followed by a lookup, not by a second create.
Who pays CJ?
Section titled “Who pays CJ?”By default the add-on creates the CJ order and you pay it in your CJ account. You can let it pay from your CJ balance instead; if the balance is too low the order is marked failed with CJ’s message and you can send it again after topping up.
What does the sandbox do?
Section titled “What does the sandbox do?”CJ has no separate test host. Test mode sends orders with CJ’s sandbox flag: payment is simulated and nothing is fulfilled.
Why is my emoji missing from a product name?
Section titled “Why is my emoji missing from a product name?”CS-Cart tables store three bytes per character, so four-byte characters such as emoji cannot be saved. The add-on removes them from names and descriptions instead of cutting the text.
What happens when CJ is down?
Section titled “What happens when CJ is down?”Jobs fail, wait and are retried automatically (5 minutes up to 12 hours). Nothing is lost and nothing is sent twice.
What happens when the license expires?
Section titled “What happens when the license expires?”New work stops (no new imports, checkout rates, syncs or order pushes). Work already under way, including tracking, is still finished.
How do I get updates and support?
Section titled “How do I get updates and support?”Install the new package over the old one (Installation). Contact us through https://cs-cart.kaviolabs.com.
My license shows “Pending verification”
Section titled “My license shows “Pending verification””This status appears in older add-on versions when you use a CS-Cart Marketplace license number that our license server has not matched with the Marketplace yet. The add-on is fully working in this state: no feature is switched off and you do not need to do anything. Newer versions show it as Active (Marketplace license). We confirm Marketplace numbers on our side; click Check now on the add-on’s License tab (Add-ons → Manage add-ons → the add-on) a little later and it shows Active. If it has not changed after 24 hours, contact support with your Marketplace order number.
Still stuck?
Section titled “Still stuck?”Work through the troubleshooting guide, then contact support with your CS-Cart version, edition, PHP version and the add-on version (1.0.0).
