EU Pickup Points & Parcel Lockers

Edition: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor · Latest version: 1.0.0 · Compatible with: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x, PHP 7.4 – 8.3 · Changelog: view

EU Pickup Points & Parcel Lockers lets customers choose a parcel locker, parcel shop or post office at checkout for six European pickup networks: Packeta, Mondial Relay, InPost, DHL, GLS and Omniva. The chosen point is saved on the order and shown in the admin panel, on the customer’s order page, in invoices and order e-mails, and in the order data of the REST API.

Each network is a shipping service in CS-Cart. You create a shipping method for it, enter your own carrier account details where the carrier needs them, and set the price in the method’s shipping charges like for any other method. The add-on uses only free carrier data or your own free carrier account. There are no Kavio Labs fees per order or per search.

The add-on is not made, endorsed or certified by any of the carriers. It uses the carriers’ public point data, their documented web services and their own selection widgets.

  • Six networks in one add-on: Packeta (Zasilkovna) points and Z-BOXes, Mondial Relay Point Relais and Lockers, InPost Paczkomaty and PaczkoPunkty, DHL Packstations, Parcelshops and post offices, GLS ParcelShops and ParcelLockers, Omniva parcel machines and post offices.
  • Checkout card under the chosen method with the selected point, its address and opening hours, and a Choose / Change button.
  • Map and list dialog for InPost, Mondial Relay, DHL and Omniva: search by postcode or town, “Near me” (browser location), nearest first with distances, filters for lockers or shops and post offices, numbered pins on an OpenStreetMap map. On phones the dialog is full screen with List and Map tabs.
  • Packeta and GLS open the carriers’ own selection widgets; the chosen point comes back to the checkout card.
  • Per method: countries served, lockers only or shops only, maximum parcel weight and number of items (the method is hidden when the cart does not fit).
  • The order cannot be placed with a pickup method and no point.
  • Point on the order: admin order page (with a map link and a Change pickup point dialog), customer order page, invoice and order e-mails, kv_epp_points in the order data (REST API orders entity).
  • Multi-Vendor: vendors can use pickup methods with their own carrier accounts; customers choose one point per vendor shipment; vendors see and change the point on their own orders.
  • CS-Cart 4.21: the methods are also core pickup point services (IPickupPointsService), so the Storefront API pickup point list gets the points of InPost, Mondial Relay, DHL and Omniva.
  • Status page with all pickup methods, missing account details, stored data and a test search.
  • DHL locations are always requested live and never stored, as DHL’s API terms require.
  • It does not buy labels, book shipments or send parcel data to the carriers. Create shipments in your carrier’s portal or with a label tool.
  • It does not calculate carrier prices. The price comes from the method’s shipping charges (rate areas, weight, subtotal), so you keep full control.
  • It does not track parcels. CS-Cart’s carrier tracking link uses the carrier’s public tracking page.
  • GLS in version 1.0 covers the GLS map widget countries (Hungary, Czechia, Slovakia, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia). Other GLS countries, DPD, PostNL and more networks are planned.

The InPost and Omniva drivers were tested with real responses recorded from their public endpoints. DHL, Mondial Relay, Packeta and GLS were tested against local test doubles that follow the carriers’ published documentation (DHL Location Finder, Mondial Relay WSI4 web service, Packeta widget v6, GLS map widget), because no carrier accounts were used. Use your carrier’s test credentials first and run the test search on the status page before going live.

  • CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 to 4.21.x (tested on 4.17.2; 4.21.2 template compile and PHP 8.3 checked).
  • PHP 7.4 to 8.3. No PHP SOAP extension needed.
  • Responsive-based themes with the lite checkout. Nova (4.21) uses the same checkout hooks; its templates were compile-checked, not tested live.
  • Full page cache (4.21): nothing is printed on cacheable pages; the picker lives on the checkout only.
