Subscriptions & Recurring Orders

Edition: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor · Latest version: 1.0.0 · Compatible with: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x, PHP 7.4 – 8.3 · Changelog: view

Sell products on repeat. Shoppers pick a plan on the product page (“every month”, “every 2 weeks”, with a discount, a trial or a fixed number of deliveries); the add-on creates the renewal orders on schedule, reminds the customer before each one, and lets the customer pause, skip, change or cancel in their account. Cancelling takes two clicks and sends a confirmation e-mail.

  • Subscription plans: interval (days, weeks, months, years), trial period, first-order discount, recurring discount (percent or fixed) and a fixed number of deliveries.
  • Plans are assigned to products; the product page shows a “Choose how to buy” box (one-time or a plan) and the cart marks subscription lines.
  • Customer account: pause, resume, skip the next delivery, change the quantity, swap a product, change the frequency, change the address of automatic renewals, and cancel with a confirmation page and a confirmation e-mail.
  • Signed links in every e-mail open the subscription (and the cancel page) without a login.
  • Renewal reminders a configurable number of days before each renewal.
  • Renewal orders created by cron, idempotently: one row per subscription and cycle, a lock per subscription, safe when two cron processes start together.
  • Payments, stated honestly: automatic orders for payment methods without a processor (bank transfer, cash on delivery, cheque) and for payment add-ons that register a charge handler; every other payment method uses a pay link and the normal checkout each cycle.
  • Payment reminders (dunning) with your own schedule, then cancel or pause.
  • Admin dashboard with monthly recurring revenue, churn, renewal revenue, upcoming renewals and unpaid renewals; subscription list with filters and CSV export.
  • Multi-Vendor: vendors create plans for their own products and see and manage only their own subscriptions.
  • Order e-mails go through the CS-Cart mailer; the five subscription e-mails are editable e-mail templates.
  • Full page cache safe: the product page output depends on the product only.
  • It cannot charge a card on its own: stock CS-Cart payment add-ons do not store a card or token for later use. See Usage.
  • It does not give legal advice. Subscription and cancellation rules differ by country; see the FAQ.
  • CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x (see the installation page for the stores the tests ran on).
  • PHP 7.4 to 8.3.
  • CS-Cart Ultimate, CS-Cart, Multi-Vendor and Multi-Vendor Ultimate.
