Installation

  • CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 to 4.21.x, PHP 7.4 to 8.3.
  • PHP extensions: GD (icons), OpenSSL (Firebase sign-in), cURL (push), ZipArchive or Phar (source download). All are standard on CS-Cart hosting.
  • Administrator access to the admin panel.
  1. Go to Add-ons → Manage add-ons, click the gear button and choose Manual installation.
  2. Upload kv_mobile_app-1.0.0.zip and click Upload & install.
  3. Enter your license key on the License tab of the add-on (a 14-day trial runs without a key).
  4. Open Marketing → Mobile app.

CS-Cart (Ultimate) with several storefronts: each storefront has its own app. Pick the storefront in the store selector at the top of the admin panel before you open the add-on pages.

Scheduled campaigns and very large audiences are sent by a cron job. Order pushes and “Send now” campaigns are sent right away and do not need it. Every 5 minutes:

*/5 * * * * cd /path/to/your/store && php admin.php --dispatch=kv_mobile_app.cron

The same job removes devices that have not opened the app for 400 days and campaigns older than a year.

The association files for deep links are served by the add-on through the store’s index.php. Apache with the standard CS-Cart .htaccess needs nothing. On Nginx make sure /.well-known/assetlinks.json and /.well-known/apple-app-site-association go to index.php when they are not real files (the usual try_files $uri $uri/ /index.php?$args; does this). Check the links on Deep links: both should show OK.

Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Mobile App Builder → Uninstall removes the add-on’s tables (configuration, devices, campaigns), its settings and texts, and the uploaded icon and splash images. Apps that are already installed on phones keep opening your store; push and the inbox stop.
