Installation
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- CS-Cart or CS-Cart Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x (tested on CS-Cart Ultimate 4.17.2 with PHP 8.1, Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 with PHP 8.1 and Multi-Vendor 4.21.2 with PHP 8.3).
- PHP 7.2.5 – 8.3, as supported by your CS-Cart version. The XML and the PDF/A-3 are written in plain PHP: no PDF library, no extra extension and no external service is needed. The ZIP export uses PHP’s ZipArchive, which almost every host has.
- MySQL/MariaDB with InnoDB.
- Optional: Kavio Labs Invoices & Credit Notes (shared numbering and credit notes), EU VAT Number Validation (checked buyer VAT IDs and reverse charge), Sell by Weight & Length (measured quantities and units).
Install
Section titled “Install”- Go to Add-ons → Manage add-ons, click the + (upload) button and upload
kv_eu_e_invoicing-1.0.0.zip. - Find EU e-Invoicing in the list and click Install. The add-on is active after the installation.
- Enter your license key in Settings → License (or the CS-Cart Marketplace license number in Add-ons → Manage add-ons).
- Open Orders → e-Invoices → Seller data and fill in your VAT ID, IBAN, contact and (if you have one) Peppol ID. Everything you leave empty comes from Settings → Company.
- Open Tax and payment mapping and check the VAT category of each tax and the payment means of each payment method. The automatic choices are shown in each list.
- Optional: change the statuses that create e-invoices, the formats customers can download and the e-mail attachment in the add-on settings.
No cron job is needed.
What the installation creates
Section titled “What the installation creates”| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Tables | kv_einv_documents (e-invoices with their frozen data and validation log), kv_einv_counters (own number series), kv_einv_sellers, kv_einv_maps, kv_einv_products (unit per product) |
| Customer profile fields | Buyer reference / Leitweg-ID and Peppol ID (e-invoice address), in the Contact information section and the checkout “Customer information” blocks; VAT ID too when EU VAT Number Validation (and its field) is not installed. You can rename, move or hide them in Administration → Profile fields. |
Existing orders get no e-invoice on installation. Create one on the order page or select orders in Orders → View orders and use Print documents → e-Invoices (ZIP).
Privileges
Section titled “Privileges”e-Invoices belong to orders: administrators need View orders to see and download them and Edit order details to create, rebuild and credit them. The tax and payment mapping needs Manage settings. Multi-Vendor vendors see the e-invoices of their own orders; they create them and edit their own seller data when vendors are the sellers (see Configuration).
Upgrading
Section titled “Upgrading”Upload the new package over the installed add-on (or use the Upgrade Center). Documents, numbers, seller data and mappings are kept; missing tables, settings and texts are added automatically on the next admin page view.
Disabling and uninstalling
Section titled “Disabling and uninstalling”- Disable: no new e-invoices are created; the profile fields stay (their values are kept).
- Uninstall removes the add-on tables, including all e-invoices it created, its settings, texts and the profile fields it added (with their values). Download what you need to keep first: select the documents in Orders → e-Invoices and use Download selected (ZIP) in each format you archive. Orders, taxes and payment methods are not changed.
