All notable changes to Abandoned Cart Recovery Pro (kv_abandoned_cart_recovery) are documented here.
Format: Keep a Changelog, versioning: SemVer.
[Unreleased]
Section titled “[Unreleased]”[1.1.1] - 2026-10-15
Section titled “[1.1.1] - 2026-10-15”- License verification works on servers without the PHP sodium extension (common on shared and cPanel hosting). Before, the signed answer of the license server could not be checked there, so the add-on entered the 14-day grace period and then switched its features off. The add-on now checks the signature with its own built-in Ed25519 code when the extension is missing.
[1.1.0] - 2026-10-13
Section titled “[1.1.0] - 2026-10-13”- License check. Enter your license key (or CS-Cart Marketplace license number) on the new License tab of the settings. The add-on verifies it with cs-cart.kaviolabs.com when the key is saved and then once a day, only from the admin panel or cron, never on storefront requests. The license covers the domain entered at purchase and all its subdomains; local development hosts are always allowed.
- License card at the top of the add-on page, visible on every tab: the status in color (valid, development host, pending or grace period with the days left, Marketplace number pending verification, or switched off: not activated, invalid key, revoked, domain mismatch, not verified), what is switched off in plain words, the licensed domain, the result per storefront, the end of the updates period and the last and next check. Actions: Enter/Change license key, Check now, Manage license and, without a valid license, Buy a license. A cron entry point checks without the admin panel.
- License badge next to the add-on name in Add-ons → Manage add-ons (for example License: Valid or License: Pending · 9 days left). Only administrators who may manage add-ons see license information; vendors never do.
- License status bar on the add-on’s own admin pages (dashboard, cart list and cart page): a small green chip when the license is valid, or a banner with the status, what is switched off and the actions.
- Without a valid license for the store’s domain, no new carts are captured, the checkout checkbox is hidden and no new reminder e-mails or coupons are created; the admin panel shows a notice on other admin pages (the add-on page shows the card and the add-on’s own pages the status bar instead). Restore and unsubscribe links in e-mails already sent keep working, coupons already sent stay valid until they expire, and all data stays available. Checkout and the rest of the store are never affected. New installations and upgrades from 1.0.x work for 14 days before a key is required, and if the license server cannot be reached the add-on keeps working for 14 days.
- Singular and plural forms (“1 reminder sent”, “2 reminders sent”) instead of “reminder(s)” in the cart list filter (new language variable, so in-place upgrades add it).
[1.0.0] - 2026-10-13
Section titled “[1.0.0] - 2026-10-13”- Cart capture for signed-in customers and for guests who entered an e-mail at checkout (also when the e-mail is only typed), with no database write when the cart did not change.
- Reminder sequence of up to three e-mails with their own delays (hours of cart inactivity), editable e-mail templates (Design → E-mail templates) with product images, options, quantities and prices.
- Unique single-use reminder coupons with an expiry date, based on the core “Coupon code (auto-generated)” promotion condition; “Create a 10% coupon promotion” helper; codes are withdrawn when used, expired or on uninstall.
- Signed one-click restore link: restores products, options and quantities on any device, prefills the guest’s e-mail and name, applies the coupon and opens the checkout.
- Order attribution with an attribution window and per-step statistics; orders before any reminder are kept apart; failed or unpaid orders are not counted.
- Admin dashboard (abandoned value, reminded carts, restore rate, recovered orders and revenue with the paid share, daily chart, sequence performance, most abandoned products), cart list with filters and bulk actions, cart details with timeline, e-mail preview, test e-mail, “send next reminder now”, stop reminders and unsubscribe.
- Consent: opt-out or opt-in checkbox under the checkout e-mail field, unsubscribe page with confirmation and resubscribe, suppression list, Kavio Labs consent contract bridge, core GDPR add-on export and anonymization, automatic deletion of old records.
- Sending by console cron command, cron URL with key, “Run now” and an optional admin fallback; batch limit and run lock.
- Multi-Vendor: mixed-vendor carts, and a vendor panel view of the abandoned cart figures of the vendor’s own products (no shopper data).
- CS-Cart 4.21: full page cache safe (no visitor output on cacheable pages, StorageData instead of
?:storage_datawhile the page cache is active), Twig 3 and Smarty 5 compatible. - Self-healing upgrades (
Upgrade\Synchronizer).
