Canvas is a flagship theme for CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 to 4.21.x, a child of Responsive, so every add-on keeps working. Its home page is a tile board: each block is a tile in a 12-column grid, sized small, medium, large, extra large or wide, optionally two rows tall, and coloured paper, sand, mist, sage, ink or accent. Count tiles show the live number of products per department, product tiles show one product big with price, timer and add to cart.
One design, eight colour schemes
Canvas is one design on a warm studio board with four soft tile colours plus an ink and an accent tile in every scheme. Six light and two dark schemes set the accent as Theme Editor colours. Open any of them in the live demo.
You change the home page in minutes, without a developer: open a block, pick "Canvas tile size" and "Canvas tile colour", save. There is no extra settings panel, only the Block Manager you already know, so layouts export and import as usual. On tablets the board uses 6 columns, on phones 2. Search with categories, sticky header, filter sheet and buy bar on phones, deal timers from real promotion end dates, text contrast 4.5:1 or more, and no visitor data printed into the page.
How it works
Install the zip in Add-ons, activate Canvas in Website > Themes and pick a scheme. The first admin page after activation adds the demo catalogue once (your products are never changed). In Design > Layouts every grid has a "Canvas tile board" switch and every block a tile size and colour picker, saved in the stock "User-defined CSS class" field. Home layouts: Canvas, Mosaic and Index. Licence: one production installation, 12 months of updates; staging and local copies are free. Without a valid licence the store shows the standard Responsive look.

Do I need a developer to change the home page?
No. Open Design → Layouts → Homepage, click the gear icon of a block, pick Canvas tile size and Canvas tile colour in the General tab and save. Add any new block to the tile board grid and it becomes a tile the same way.
Which blocks can be tiles?
Any block of the grid: products, categories, banners, HTML and blog blocks are the ones the demo uses. A block without a size stays a full row without the tile background, so nothing breaks when you add a block.
What happens on phones?
The board has 12 columns on desktops, 6 on tablets and 2 on phones. On phones small tiles sit two per row, every other tile takes the full width and "two rows tall" is ignored; the order is the order of the blocks in the grid.
Are the numbers on the count tiles real?
Yes. A count tile shows the number of active products in the category and its subcategories (only products of active vendors on Multi-Vendor). It is cached with the catalogue and refreshes when products or categories change.
What if I switch to another theme?
The tile classes stay in the "User-defined CSS class" fields and do nothing in other themes: blocks show as normal full rows.
Does Canvas work with my add-ons?
Yes. Canvas is a child of the standard Responsive theme: no core files are changed and add-on hooks keep working.
Does it work on CS-Cart and on Multi-Vendor?
Yes, one package for every edition (CS-Cart, CS-Cart Ultimate, Multi-Vendor and Multi-Vendor Ultimate). On Multi-Vendor it adds the seller line on cards and counts only products of active vendors.
Why does a product show no countdown?
Countdowns only appear for catalog promotions with an end date. Canvas never shows invented timers.
What happens without a licence?
A new installation works for 14 days. After that, without a valid licence, the storefront shows the standard Responsive look; cart, checkout and orders keep working and visitors see no message. The admin panel tells you why and how to fix it. See Configuration.
Does the theme work on my staging copy?
Yes. Subdomains of your licensed domain and local development hosts are covered by the same licence.
Will an update overwrite my changes?
No. Files you changed are kept (a notice lists them), and layouts and blocks are never replaced.
