Mondial Relay Pickup Points & Labels: Mondial Relay Point Relais choice at checkout, labels, return labels and tracking from the order page1 of 7
What it does
For stores that ship with Mondial Relay in the countries of its network that your contract covers, for example France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal. The add-on offers Point Relais, Point Relais XL and home delivery as shipping methods with the price you set on each (flat or by weight, per country) and connects them to your own Mondial Relay account. It needs your Mondial Relay contract with web service access; the credentials come from Mondial Relay. The contract is not included.
How it works
Enter the login, password and customer id of the shipment service and the brand and private key of the search service, test the connection and set a price on each shipping method. At checkout the customer opens the Mondial Relay picker and chooses a point; the server checks it again. In the order, Create label sends the shipment and stores the label. Tracking follows by cron. Mondial Relay has no cancel and no cash on delivery, and the rates are your own table: the add-on says so instead of pretending.
Features
Credentials stored encrypted, test and live credentials, one-click connection test
Job queue with automatic retries and a log with filters and CSV export
Works with cron (command line or secret address), no long requests during checkout
Multi-Vendor: one marketplace account or one account per vendor with own customer id and sender address
Point Relais (24R), Point Relais XL (24L) and home delivery (HOM) as shipping methods, each with its own price, countries and weight limit
Point Relais choice at checkout with the Mondial Relay picker, checked on the server before it is saved with the order
Labels in PDF (10x15, A4 or A5) or ZPL for thermal printers, stored with the order
Return label with the customer as sender
Safe label creation: the request is saved first and never repeated blindly after a timeout, you adopt the shipment number from Connect
Tracking status on the order and in the shipment list, read about every 5 hours and never for delivered parcels

Initial release: integration with the two Mondial Relay web services. API 2 (WEB SERVICE DUAL CARRIER V-2.7.1, ShipmentCreationRequest) creates shipments and labels; API 1 (WEB SERVICE V-5.14, SOAP) provides the Point Relais search (WSI4_PointRelais_Recherche) and tracking (WSI2_TracingColisDetaille) with the documented MD5 security key. The WSDL and XSD files are saved in the tests and every request is validated against them.
Label creation from the order page or at an order status: recipient, street and house number split, weight in grams, optional parcel size and content text, sender from the Connection page; labels in PDF (10x15, A4 or A5) or ZPL stored with the order and never resized; shipment number and tracking link on the order and in an optional CS-Cart shipment.
Record-before-call idempotency for labels: the request is saved before it is sent, runs under a per-order lock and uses a deterministic reference (OrderNoO<order>-<row>). A timeout, server error or status -1 / 99999 is an unknown result and is never repeated automatically (the web services have no cancel and no lookup).
Unknown-result handling: the merchant adopts the 8-digit shipment number found in Mondial Relay Connect (checked with the tracking service) or confirms that nothing was created.
Return labels (collection mode REL, delivery mode LCC, customer as sender, shop as recipient) with the same protection.
Shipping services Point Relais (24R), Point Relais XL (24L) and Home delivery (HOM), each a shipping method with the merchant's own price (flat or by weight), free-shipping threshold, countries and weight limit. XOH (D+1) is not offered because it needs an additional EDI file.
Point Relais picker at the checkout with the Mondial Relay widget, loaded only when the customer opens it; the choice is checked again on the server with the point search (country must match the delivery address, XL points must be in an XL search) and saved with the order. Cash on delivery is refused (ended with V-2.7.1).
Tracking with WSI2_TracingColisDetaille by cron about every 5 hours for open shipments (Mondial Relay asks for at most 4 to 6 queries per shipment and day), every 12 hours for shipments with a problem, never for delivered ones; codes 80 to 83 mapped to created, in transit, delivered and problem, 94 (unknown parcel) keeps the state.
Vendor rules for Multi-Vendor: marketplace owner mode or one account per vendor; in owner mode vendors cannot create labels on the owner's contract; "Run the queue now" is for administrators only.
Data protection: no e-mail address and no phone number for Point Relais deliveries unless the setting "Send e-mail address and mobile number to Mondial Relay" is on; home delivery always sends the phone number because the document requires it; the picker panel tells the customer that the map comes from third-party servers.
Accent transliteration and the documented character limits: names, street with number, city and address lines are written in the ASCII character set of the documented patterns and cut by characters at 30 (postal code 10, content 40, order reference 15, customer reference 9); phone numbers are normalised to the country patterns of the document.
No labels for cancelled, declined, failed, incomplete or backordered orders.
Connection page with encrypted credentials (API 2 login, password and customer id; API 1 brand and private key), test and live mode, sender address and a connection test; logs with masked credentials, job queue with retries and back-off, cron (command line and secret address), log viewer with CSV export, domain-bound license, self-healing upgrade synchronizer.
Dates and times in this add-on are not protocol dates: nothing is converted to a time zone except the tracking dates and times, which are shown as Mondial Relay sends them; created and checked times use the shop time zone.
Honest limits: no cancel operation (cancellation is local), no price operation (your own rate table), no cash on delivery, Italy, Poland and United Kingdom flows not covered.
Tested on Multi-Vendor 4.17.2. First release.
Which Mondial Relay interfaces does the add-on use?
The two web services of Mondial Relay: API 2, the shipment web service ("WEB SERVICE DUAL CARRIER V-2.7.1", REST with XML) for shipments and labels, and API 1 ("WEB SERVICE V-5.14", SOAP) for the Point Relais search and for tracking. The picker at the checkout is the Mondial Relay widget (WIDGET V4.1). See Conformance.
Does the add-on use the shipment creation of API 1?
No. Mondial Relay stopped those methods (V-5.11) and blocks accounts created from 23 December 2024 for them. Labels are created with API 2.
Which countries and products can I use?
The countries of the Mondial Relay network that your contract covers. The add-on offers Point Relais (24R), Point Relais XL (24L) and Home delivery (HOM). Home delivery is contract-dependent: Mondial Relay lists it as not available with API 1 and available with the dual carrier web service. The D+1 service (XOH) is not offered because it needs an additional EDI file. Italy, Poland and United Kingdom flows are not covered.
What do I need from Mondial Relay?
A contract with web service access. In Connect you get the API 2 login, password and customer id, and the API 1 brand and private key. For first tests the public API 1 test account is brand BDTEST13, private key TestAPI1key.
Is cash on delivery supported?
No. Mondial Relay ended it (V-5.9, V-2.7.1 "End of COD"). Mark your cash on delivery payment method in the settings: those orders are refused with a clear message.
Can I cancel a label?
The web services have no cancel operation. The add-on removes the label in your store; Mondial Relay is not told and the shipment still exists there. Contact Mondial Relay if the parcel was already handed over.
Where do the shipping prices come from?
From you. The web services have no price operation, so each shipping method has your own price or weight table and countries.
What if a label request times out?
The add-on does not repeat it, because a second request could create a second shipment and there is no lookup or cancel. The order tab shows Result unknown: look in Mondial Relay Connect, then adopt the 8-digit shipment number or confirm that nothing was created. See Usage.
What does the add-on send about my customers?
Name, address and the order reference. The e-mail address and phone number are not sent for Point Relais deliveries unless you turn on "Send e-mail address and mobile number to Mondial Relay". Home delivery always sends the phone number because Mondial Relay makes it mandatory. Nothing is sent to anyone else. The picker loads scripts and map tiles from third-party servers (Mondial Relay, unpkg.com, OpenStreetMap) when the customer opens it.
Why are accents missing on the label?
The patterns in Mondial Relay's document accept only ASCII letters, digits and a few signs. The add-on writes "Elysee" for the accented spelling and cuts names and addresses at the documented lengths (30 characters for name, street with number, city and address lines).
How often is tracking read?
About every 5 hours for open shipments, every 12 hours for shipments with a problem, never for delivered ones. Mondial Relay asks for at most 4 to 6 queries per shipment and day and no batch use.
Do I need a webhook?
No. The web services used here have no push notifications; tracking is read by cron.
What happens if Mondial Relay is down?
Failed jobs are retried after 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours and 12 hours, except label requests with an unknown result. Rates never call Mondial Relay, so the checkout keeps working; only the picker needs Mondial Relay's servers.
Where are credentials stored?
Encrypted in your database (AES-256-GCM). Secrets are never shown again and never written to the log.
Is it safe with the full page cache of CS-Cart 4.21?
Yes. The picker is printed only inside the checkout and the widget is loaded by JavaScript when the customer opens it; the choice is saved with an AJAX POST.
Does it work with CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor, and which versions?
Yes, 4.17.2 to 4.21.x, Ultimate and Multi-Vendor editions. In Multi-Vendor the marketplace owner can use one Mondial Relay account for everyone or let each vendor connect their own.
Does it send data to Kavio Labs?
No, apart from the daily license check (your domain name and the add-on version).
What happens when the license expires?
New work stops (no new rates, labels or automatic creation). Existing labels and tracking stay available.
