DPD Shipping Labels & Pickup Points: DPD labels, DPD Pickup parcel shop choice at checkout, return labels and tracking from the order page1 of 7
What it does
For stores that ship with DPD Germany. The add-on offers DPD Classic, DPD Pickup, 8:30, 12:00, 18:00, MAX and Express International as shipping methods with the price you set on each (flat or by weight, per country) and connects them to your own DPD account: DelisID, password and customer number. DPD runs a stage system for testing. Production needs a DPD contract and DPD's approval of the integration, which this add-on does not include.
How it works
Enter the DelisID, password and customer number, test the connection and set a price on each shipping method. At checkout the customer searches DPD parcel shops around the delivery address and picks one. In the order, Create label sends the shipment to DPD and stores the label. Tracking follows by cron from the DPD tracking service. Failed jobs are retried automatically and listed in the log. DPD's web services have no cancel and no cash on delivery: the add-on says so instead of pretending.
Features
Credentials stored encrypted, test and live credentials, one-click connection test

Works with cron (command line or secret address), no long requests during checkout

Labels in PDF (A6 or A4) or ZPL for thermal printers, stored with the order
Return label and customs invoice lines outside the EU
Customer e-mail and phone are not sent to DPD by default
Tracking status from DPD on the order and in the shipment list

Requirements
Platform
CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 or later
Requirement
Administrator access to the store's admin panel
Requirement
A DPD customer account for the DPD Web Connect web services: a DelisID (8 to 10 characters), its password and the customer number of your contract. DPD runs a stage (test) system and a production system with separate users: ask your DPD contact for both. DPD checks and approves each integration before it may use production, so start with the stage user
Requirement
A cron job on your server (step 7)

Initial release: integration with the DPD Web Connect SOAP services of DPD Germany: LoginService 2.0 (getAuth), ShipmentService 4.5 (storeOrders), ParcelShopFinderService 5.0 (findParcelShops, getAvailableServices) and ParcelLifeCycleService 2.0 (getTrackingData). The WSDL and XSD files are saved in the tests and every request is validated against them.
Shipping services DPD Classic, DPD Pickup (parcel shop), DPD 8:30, 12:00, 18:00, DPD MAX and DPD Express International, with the customer price (flat or by weight), free-shipping threshold, countries and weight limit set on each shipping method.
DPD Pickup parcel shop search at the checkout; the choice is validated on the server against a fresh search and stored with the order (parcelShopDelivery).
Shipments from the order page or at an order status: recipient, street and house number split, weight, optional parcel size, sender from the Connection page, customs invoice lines outside the EU; labels in PDF (A6 or A4), ZPL or ZPL300 stored with the order; parcel label number and tracking link on the order and in a CS-Cart shipment.
Return label (parcel flag returns, sender and recipient swapped).
Tracking with ParcelLifeCycleService by cron; Multi-Vendor owner mode or one account per vendor.
Connection page with encrypted credentials (DelisID password), test and live mode, customer number and sender address, and a connection test that signs in and reads the parcel shop services without creating anything.
Data protection: the customer's e-mail address and phone number are not sent to DPD unless you turn it on (DPD Pickup needs the e-mail address for the mandatory notification; the checkout tells the customer).
Honest limits: DPD's web services have no cancel operation, no cash on delivery field and no close-out; cancellation is local, cash on delivery orders are refused with a clear message.
Job queue with retries and back-off, cron (command line and secret address), log viewer with CSV export, domain-bound licence, self-healing upgrade synchronizer.
Tested on Multi-Vendor 4.17.2. First release.
Which DPD interface does the add-on use?
The DPD Web Connect SOAP services of DPD Germany (LoginService 2.0, ShipmentService 4.5, ParcelShopFinderService 5.0, ParcelLifeCycleService 2.0). They have public WSDL files and a stage system for tests. See Conformance.
Does it work for DPD Austria or other DPD countries?
The web services are the ones of DPD Germany. A German DPD account can send to other countries (the destination is part of the address). Other national DPD companies publish their own, different interfaces; those are not covered.
What do I need from DPD?
A DelisID with password and the sender customer number for the stage system, later the same for production. DPD approves each integration before it may use production: ask your DPD contact.
Is cash on delivery supported?
No. ShipmentService 4.5 has no cash on delivery field (it was removed in 4.4). Mark your COD payment method in the settings: those orders are refused with a clear message so that you create them in the DPD portal.
Can I cancel a label?
The web services have no cancel operation. The add-on removes the label in your store; DPD is not told and the parcel still exists there. Contact your depot if the parcel was already handed over.
What does the add-on send about my customers?
Name, address and the order reference. The e-mail address and phone number are not sent unless you turn on "Send e-mail and phone number to DPD". DPD Pickup always sends the e-mail address because the schema requires a notification; the checkout shows a notice. Nothing is sent to anyone else.
The distance to the parcel shop is not shown. Why?
DPD's specification does not say in which unit distance is; the add-on does not guess.
Do I need a webhook?
No. DPD's web services have no push notifications; tracking is polled by cron.
What happens if DPD is down?
Failed label jobs are retried after 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours and 12 hours; the order page shows the message. Rates never call DPD, so the checkout keeps working.
Where are credentials stored?
Encrypted in your database (AES-256-GCM). The password is never shown again and never written to the log.
Is it safe with the full page cache of CS-Cart 4.21?
Yes. The checkout picker is an AJAX call, the search results are never part of a cached page.
DPD is a trademark of its owner; this add-on is not affiliated with or endorsed by DPD.
Add a released add-on to this order and save 15% on it. It uses the same edition and store domain.
