Built for
FedEx REST Rates & Labels: FedEx rates at checkout, labels, returns, pickups and tracking from the order page1 of 7
What it does
For stores and marketplaces that ship with FedEx and have a FedEx account. FedEx is a parcel carrier; the add-on connects your store to its Developer Portal APIs with your own keys. It asks FedEx for rates, creates shipments and labels, reads tracking, books pickups and checks addresses, in test or live mode.
How it works
Enter your FedEx keys and account number, test in the sandbox, then switch to live. Add one shipping method per FedEx service. Open an order, check the pre-filled packages and click Create label; download the PDF, PNG or ZPL file. Tracking is refreshed by cron and shown on the order. Failed jobs are retried automatically and listed in the log.
Features
Credentials stored encrypted, separate test and live mode, one-click connection test
Job queue with automatic retries and a log with filters and CSV export
Works with cron (command line or secret address), no long requests during checkout
Multi-Vendor: one marketplace account or one account per vendor
Rate and Transit Times API: 20 services, account or list rates, delivery dates, markup and free shipping
Labels in PDF, PNG or ZPL II, multi-package shipments, customs lines and commercial invoice
Return labels, cancel at FedEx, protected against duplicate purchases
Pickups: book and cancel Express and Ground pickups
Tracking with scan events, address validation with residential or business classification
Works on 4.17 to 4.21 and next to the core FedEx (REST) module

Latest
Added 9
FedEx REST API integration on the FedEx Developer Portal APIs (OAuth 2.0 client credentials, optional child key; sandbox and production), replacing the retired SOAP / Web Services on CS-Cart 4.17 and working next to the 4.18+ core "FedEx (REST)" module.
Checkout rates (Rate and Transit Times API): 20 FedEx services, account or list rates, delivery date or transit time, residential flag, direct signature, declared value, markup, rounding, free shipping threshold, fallback rate; one API call serves every FedEx method of a cart.
Labels (Ship API) in PDF, PNG or ZPL II from the order page or at an order status, multi-package shipments (one label per package), customs lines and commercial invoice for international parcels, return labels, cancel.
Protected label purchase: lock per order, stored attempt per request, "Unresolved" hold when FedEx may have created the shipment but the answer was lost.
Pickups (Pickup Request API): book and cancel Express and Ground pickups.
Tracking (Track API) with scan events, optional order status on delivery, tracking number as a CS-Cart shipment.
Address validation (Address Validation API) with the residential / business classification used for the label.
Multi-Vendor: marketplace owner mode (optionally with vendor labels) or one FedEx account per vendor; vendor panel with per-action privileges.
Connection page with encrypted credentials, test and live mode and a connection test; job queue with retries and back-off, cron (command line and secret address), log viewer with CSV export.
Tested on Multi-Vendor 4.17.2. First release.
Does it work with CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor?
Yes. The add-on supports CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor. In Multi-Vendor the marketplace owner can use one FedEx account for everyone or let each vendor connect their own.
CS-Cart already has a FedEx (REST) module. Why this add-on?
The core module (CS-Cart 4.18 and later) only fetches checkout rates, one service per shipping method. This add-on adds what a shipping desk needs: labels in PDF, PNG or ZPL, multi-package shipments, customs lines and the commercial invoice, return labels, cancel, pickups, tracking with scan events, address validation, safe retries, per-vendor accounts and a log. It also works on CS-Cart 4.17.2, where the core only has the retired SOAP module. It does not touch the core module and can run next to it.
Do I need a FedEx account?
Yes: a FedEx account number and a project in the FedEx Developer Portal. The sandbox works without shipping anything. FedEx has to approve your production key.
Can a label be bought twice by mistake?
The add-on is built to avoid it: a lock per order, a stored attempt for every purchase, and a hold ("Unresolved") when FedEx might have created the shipment but the answer was lost. See Usage.
Which CS-Cart versions are supported?
4.17.2 to 4.21.x.
Where are my credentials stored?
In your own database, encrypted. The key is derived from your store's secret in config.php, so a database dump alone does not reveal them. They are never shown again after saving.
Does it send data to Kavio Labs?
No. The add-on talks to FedEx only. The license check sends your domain name to the Kavio Labs license server once a day (Kavio Labs downloads).
What happens when FedEx is down?
Rates: the method is hidden, or your fallback rate is offered. Labels: jobs wait and are retried automatically (5 minutes up to 12 hours) when FedEx did not process the request; when the outcome is unknown the attempt is held for you to check, so no label is bought twice.
What happens when the license expires?
New work stops (no new rates, labels or pickups). Tracking of shipments that already exist and the queue keep running.
How do I get updates?
Install the new package over the old one. See Installation.
Add a released add-on to this order and save 15% on it. It uses the same edition and store domain.
