Vendor Payouts Automation: overview1 of 15
What it does
For Multi-Vendor marketplaces that pay vendors by bank transfer or PayPal. Core accounting keeps vendor balances, but payouts stay manual: no schedule, no hold period, no bank details, no payment file. This add-on adds a payout routine on top of core accounting without a second ledger: weekly, two-weekly or monthly schedules per plan or vendor, a hold period for refunds, a minimum amount, payout details per vendor, and a Payouts page in the vendor panel.
How it works
Orders add to vendor balances as usual. After the hold period, the money becomes available. On the payout day a cron job creates a payout request for each vendor above the minimum; each request is a core withdrawal, so it cannot be paid twice. You approve requests into a batch, download the payment file, pay, and mark the batch paid with your reference. Vendors get e-mails, statements and a history. Rejected requests return the money to the balance.

Last tested build: Multi-Vendor 4.21.2, Oct 17, 2026Tested on: Multi-Vendor 4.17.2, Multi-Vendor 4.21.2
Requirements
Platform
CS-Cart Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x. The add-on is Multi-Vendor only; CS-Cart (Standard/Ultimate) refuses the installation with "Edition of your cart (ULTIMATE) is not supported. Required: MULTIVENDOR."
PHP
PHP 7.2.5 – 8.3, as supported by your CS-Cart version. The SEPA file needs the PHP XMLWriter extension (enabled on almost every host)
Requirement
A cron job is recommended (see Configuration). Without cron, payout runs happen while administrators or vendors use their panel
Core changes
None. Hooks and template overrides only

Payout schedules: weekly, every two weeks, monthly or manual only, with overrides per vendor plan and per vendor.
Hold period after an order reaches chosen statuses (default Complete) and a minimum payout amount.
Automatic payout requests (cron, cron URL with the core cron password, or admin/vendor panel pseudo-cron), built as core withdrawals: one per vendor and period, never while a request is pending, one run at a time.
Approval queue with bulk approve (into payout batches), reject with a reason and mark paid with a reference; vendor-requested withdrawals and core Accounting actions are mirrored.
Payout details per vendor (bank transfer, PayPal, other), encrypted, masked, with a "details changed recently" flag.
Batch files: CSV, PayPal Payouts bulk file and SEPA credit transfer XML (pain.001.001.03, EUR).
Monthly vendor statements (print or save as PDF), a vendor Payouts page and a vendor balances overview.
E-mails: payout scheduled, payout sent, request rejected (vendor) and a run summary (administrator).
Domain-bound license check and self-healing upgrades.
Tested on Multi-Vendor 4.17.2, Multi-Vendor 4.21.2. First release.
Does the add-on send money?
No. It decides who is due how much, prepares the payment files and keeps the records. You send the money with your bank or PayPal (upload the file or pay by hand) and then mark the batch paid. Direct API payouts (Stripe Connect, PayPal Payouts API, Wise) are planned for a later version.
Can a vendor be paid twice?
No. A request is a core withdrawal and leaves the balance the moment it is created. The run creates at most one request per vendor and period, never while a request is waiting, and only one run can work at a time. A paid request cannot be paid or rejected again.
Why is a vendor's available amount lower than the balance?
Because part of the balance belongs to orders inside the hold period, or to orders that have not reached the hold-start status yet (for example Processed instead of Complete). The balances page shows the amount on hold and the number of orders.
A vendor was not paid on the payout day. Why?
Open Vendor balances: the last column says why, for example Below the minimum payout, No payout details, A request is waiting for approval or Manual only. A request is still created later in the same period as soon as the conditions are met.
What about orders refunded after the payout?
Core accounting deducts the refund from the vendor's balance; the next payout is smaller. If the balance becomes negative, no payout is made until it is positive again. A longer hold period avoids most of these cases.
Can vendors still request a withdrawal themselves?
Yes. Core withdrawal requests appear in the payout queue as Requested by the vendor and go through the same approval, batch and files.
Can I approve in core Accounting instead?
Yes. Approve or decline there and the queue follows (paid or rejected). The add-on's own e-mails are sent only for actions taken in its queue.
Which currency is used?
The primary currency of the store. Amounts are rounded down to what the currency can pay. SEPA files need EUR as the primary currency.
Are bank details safe?
They are stored encrypted with your store's encryption key, shown masked in lists and in full only on the payout details page and in the files you download. Vendors only see their own details. Changes shortly before a payout are flagged in the queue.
Does it work with Direct Customer-to-Vendor Payments or Stripe Connect?
Yes. Those add-ons pay vendors at checkout and record it in accounting, so the vendor balance (and the payout) is only what is left, for example negative commission. The add-on reads the same balance.
Does it change anything on the storefront?
No. The add-on works in the admin panel, the vendor panel and cron only.
What does uninstalling remove?
The add-on's tables (requests, batches, payout details, schedules), settings, privileges, e-mail templates and language variables. The withdrawals it created stay in core accounting, so balances do not change.
Is CS-Cart (not Multi-Vendor) supported?
No. Vendor balances and payouts exist only in Multi-Vendor. The installation is refused on other editions.
What happens if the license lapses?
Without a valid license (no key after the 14-day start period, an invalid or revoked key, a domain the license does not cover, or no successful check for 14 days), no new payout requests are created and batch files, statements and the vendor Payouts page are switched off. The queue keeps working, so requests already created can be approved, rejected and marked paid; core balances and withdrawals are not affected. Once the license is valid again, everything is back.
The admin panel shows a license notice.
Open Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Vendor Payouts Automation → Settings → License. The status line says what is wrong: no key, a key for another add-on, a revoked license, or a domain that the license does not cover. Fix it and click Check now. See License.
Does the add-on work on my staging copy?
Yes. Subdomains of your licensed domain (for example staging.example.com) and local development hosts (localhost, private IP addresses, .local, .test) are covered by the same license. Turn off Create payout requests automatically on copies, so a copy never creates requests.
What happens if your license server is down?
Nothing changes for 14 days: the add-on keeps working and retries every hour. Only if no check succeeds for 14 days is it switched off until the next successful check.
Does the license check slow down my storefront or checkout?
No. The check runs in the admin panel or from cron, once a day. The storefront never runs it.
Add a released add-on to this order and save 15% on it. It uses the same edition and store domain.
