Kudos is a flagship theme for CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 to 4.21.x, a child of Responsive, so every add-on keeps working. It reads the approved reviews of the core Product Reviews add-on and turns them into the design: speech-bubble review snippets on cards, a review wall with your average and histogram, a proof bar, a Top rated row and a rating card on product pages. Warm cream ground, Young Serif quotes, initials avatars, eight schemes and three home layouts: Proof, Showcase and Market.
One design, eight colour schemes
Kudos is one design on a warm cream ground with star gold as the second colour. Six light and two dark schemes set the accent as Theme Editor colours. Open any of them in the live demo.
Shoppers trust other shoppers. Kudos shows what your customers wrote right where people choose: on cards, on the homepage and in the buy box, with every star rating included. The numbers are your real numbers: average, review count, share of 4 and 5 star reviews. Search with categories, mega menu, sticky header, filter sheet and sticky buy bar on phones, deal timers from real promotion end dates, text contrast 4.5:1 or more, and no visitor data in the page (full page cache safe).
How it works
Install the zip in Add-ons, activate Kudos in Website > Themes and pick a scheme. Turn on the core Product Reviews add-on: the review elements fill themselves from approved reviews and stay hidden while you have none. The first admin page after activation adds the demo catalogue once (your products are never changed). The wall, proof bar and rating card are normal Block Manager blocks. Licence: one production domain, 12 months of updates; staging and local copies are free. Without a valid licence the store shows the standard Responsive look.

Where do the reviews come from?
From your store only: the approved reviews of the core Product Reviews add-on. Kudos never invents reviews, names, counts or ratings in the theme.
The optional demo catalogue (setting Install the demo content when the theme is activated) adds sample reviews to its sample products so you can see the design: they are never marked as verified purchases, carry no helpful votes, are tagged kvdemo and go away when you delete the demo products. Delete the demo products (or turn the setting off before activating the theme) before you open the store to customers, so the review wall and proof bar count only your own reviews.
What do shoppers see while I have no reviews?
Nothing missing: the snippets, proof bar, review wall, Top rated row, rating card and most helpful reviews print nothing until there is at least one approved review, and the page closes up around them.
Does Kudos hide bad reviews?
No. The review wall shows the newest reviews with every star rating, the histograms count every approved review, and the product page shows the most helpful critical review next to the most helpful positive one. Which reviews are published is up to your moderation in Products → Reviews, as before.
Why does a card show this review and not the newest?
Cards show the review that shoppers voted most helpful; when nobody voted yet, the newest one. The star rating never decides which review is shown, and the card labels it ("Most helpful" or "Newest") with its own stars. Reviews shorter than 20 characters are skipped; long ones are cut to 140 characters.
Does Kudos work with my add-ons?
Yes. Kudos is a child of the standard Responsive theme: no core files are changed and add-on hooks keep working.
Does it work on CS-Cart and on Multi-Vendor?
Yes, one package for every edition (CS-Cart, CS-Cart Ultimate, Multi-Vendor and Multi-Vendor Ultimate). On Multi-Vendor it adds the seller line on cards and counts only products of active vendors.
Why does a product show no countdown?
Countdowns only appear for catalog promotions with an end date. Kudos never shows invented timers.
What happens without a licence?
A new installation works for 14 days. After that, without a valid licence, the storefront shows the standard Responsive look; cart, checkout and orders keep working and visitors see no message. The admin panel tells you why and how to fix it. See Configuration.
Does the theme work on my staging copy?
Yes. Subdomains of your licensed domain and local development hosts are covered by the same licence.
Will an update overwrite my changes?
No. Files you changed are kept (a notice lists them), and layouts and blocks are never replaced.
