What it does

eBay is one of the largest online marketplaces, with separate sites in many countries. If you run a CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor store and want eBay as an additional sales channel, this add-on connects your own eBay seller account to your shop with a free application keyset from the eBay developer program and a one-time sign-in and consent on eBay. You choose the eBay site per account, for example EBAY_US, EBAY_GB or EBAY_DE.

How it works

Create a keyset and a RuName in the eBay developer account, enter them on the Connection page and press Connect to eBay to sign in and grant access. Test in the eBay Sandbox first. Enter your business policy IDs and inventory location, map categories and products, and the sync creates and publishes listings and pushes price and stock. Paid orders are imported once; failed jobs retry automatically and show in the log.

eBay connection with your own developer keyset (App ID, Cert ID, RuName): OAuth authorization code flow with sign-in and consent on eBay, refresh token (about 18 months) with automatic renewal of the access token, application token for the Taxonomy API, Sandbox and Production kept apart.
Marketplace per account: EBAY_US, EBAY_GB, EBAY_DE, EBAY_FR, EBAY_IT, EBAY_ES, EBAY_AU, EBAY_CA, EBAY_NL, EBAY_IE, EBAY_AT, EBAY_CH, EBAY_PL; listing language and currency follow it.
Listings through the Sell Inventory API: inventory item (SKU = barcode, EAN / UPC, item specifics, images, weight, condition New), offer with your fulfillment, payment and return policy and inventory location, publish; existing offers are looked up and updated instead of duplicated.

Does it work with CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor?

Yes. The add-on supports CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor. In Multi-Vendor the marketplace owner can use one eBay account for everyone or let each vendor connect their own eBay account and keyset.

Which CS-Cart versions are supported?

4.17.2 to 4.21.x.

Where are my credentials stored?

In your own database, encrypted. The key is derived from your store's secret in config.php, so a database dump alone does not reveal them. They are never shown again after saving.

Does it send data to Kavio Labs?

No. The add-on talks to eBay only. The license check sends your domain name to the Kavio Labs license server once a day (Kavio Labs downloads).

Do I need an eBay developer account?

Yes, a free one: you create your own application keyset (App ID and Cert ID) and a RuName at developer.ebay.com, and you grant the application access to your seller account once. Nothing is shared with other merchants.

Which eBay sites are supported?

The sites in the Marketplace list on the Connection page. Each account sells on one marketplace; a second site needs its own policies and location, so use a second account in Multi-Vendor mode or ask us.

Does it sync variations, auctions or motors listings?

No. This version creates fixed price listings for single products (condition New). Variation groups, auctions, vehicle compatibility and used conditions are handled in eBay Seller Hub.

What happens when eBay is down?

Jobs fail, wait and are retried automatically (5 minutes up to 12 hours). Nothing is lost and nothing is sent twice.

What happens when the license expires?

New work stops (no new documents, rates, syncs or payments). Work already under way is still finished.
