Built for
Cross-border Duties & Customs Data: Estimated import duties and fees at checkout, with the customs data your carrier needs1 of 7
What it does
For stores that ship from outside the destination country. Rules by ship-from country, destination, parcel value and date come preloaded for the EU (EUR 3 duty per item and EUR 2 handling fee for parcels up to EUR 150), the UK (VAT up to GBP 135) and the US (duty estimate), and every number is editable. Works with CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 to 4.21.x. It estimates; it is not customs, tax or legal advice.
How it works
Set your ship-from country and fill in the customs data. When a cart has a delivery address in a country with a matching rule, one line shows the duty, handling fee and VAT. DDP rules add it to the total; DAP rules only show it. Rules can use duty rates by HS code that you enter. The order page shows a customs block and the data is available to other add-ons. Nothing per visitor is printed on cached pages, so the full page cache keeps working.

Estimated import duties and fees as their own line in the cart, checkout, order, e-mail and invoice: DDP (added to the total) or DAP (notice only), per rule.
Rule engine by ship-from country, destination, parcel value and dates with preloaded EU (EUR 3 duty and EUR 2 handling fee per customs item, parcels up to EUR 150), UK (VAT up to GBP 135) and US (duty estimate) rules; optional duty rates by HS code prefix.
HS code, country of origin, customs description and ship-from country per product (product form, CSV bulk edit, category apply), audit of missing data.
IOSS, UK VAT and EORI numbers on invoice, order summary and packing slip.
CN22 / CN23 CSV export and an order customs block ($order_info.kv_cbd_customs, kv_cbd_order_customs hook) for carrier and label add-ons.
Multi-Vendor: one parcel per vendor shipment, vendor country as ship-from.
Tested on Multi-Vendor 4.17.2, CS-Cart 4.17.2. First release.
Does it work with Multi-Vendor?
Yes. Each vendor shipment is its own parcel; the vendor's company country is the ship-from country unless a product says otherwise. Vendors fill in the customs fields in the product form.
Which CS-Cart versions are supported?
4.17.2 to 4.21.x.
Does it calculate the exact customs duty?
No. It estimates from the rates you maintain (rule amounts and optional HS duty rates). Customs decides the final amount at import. The add-on is not customs, tax or legal advice: check the current rules with the customs authority or a customs broker.
Do I need a paid tariff or customs API?
No. There is no external call. The Rules tab links to the official tariff look-ups (EU TARIC, UK Trade Tariff, US HTS) so you can read the rate and enter it.
What is the difference between DDP and DAP?
DDP (delivered duty paid): the estimate is added to the order total and you handle duties and fees. DAP (delivered at place): the estimate is only shown, and the customer pays the carrier or customs on delivery. It is a setting per rule.
Is the EUR 2 handling fee per item or per parcel?
The European Commission's customs reform page confirms the fee from 1 November 2026 but does not say which unit it counts. The add-on counts per customs item by default; if the legal text you rely on says per parcel, move the amount to "Fee per parcel" on the rule.
Does it file my IOSS return or charge IOSS VAT?
No. VAT comes from your CS-Cart tax rates (or the optional VAT % of a rule). The add-on prints your IOSS, UK VAT and EORI numbers on the documents and keeps the customs data you need for the return.
Will it slow down my store?
No. It runs a few small queries when a cart is calculated and prints nothing on cached pages. The estimate shows on the cart, checkout and order pages only.
How do I get updates?
Install the new package over the old one. See Installation.
