Product Price in Any Currency: overview1 of 14
What it does
For stores that buy or sell in several currencies: importers, resellers of foreign brands and marketplaces with vendors abroad. Choose a currency on the product page and enter the price, list price and quantity or customer group prices in it. The add-on converts them into your primary currency and saves the result as the normal price, so promotions, taxes, filters, sorting, feeds and orders keep working. Price whole categories or vendors in a currency in one step.
How it works
Open a product, choose its price currency and enter the prices; a live preview shows the converted price. Or use Products, Price currencies to price a category, a vendor or the whole catalog in a currency while today's prices stay the same. When a rate changes, prices follow and the run is logged. Import and export columns, a REST field, a product list column and filter are included. Shoppers simply see the converted price; nothing changes on the storefront.
Features
Price currency per product with price, list price and quantity and customer group prices

Requirement
At least one currency besides the primary one in Administration → Currencies. Its rate is the value of one unit in the primary currency (for example EUR with rate 1.08 when the primary currency is USD)
Price currency per product: price, list price and quantity / customer group prices in any currency of Administration > Currencies, converted into the primary currency on save (product editor block with live preview; the core price fields and the Quantity discounts tab are read-only while a currency is set).
Automatic recalculation when a rate is saved (Administration > Currencies, REST API) and through a cron job (console or keyed URL) for rates changed by other tools; large catalogs continue in the background.
Rounding rules: none, to a step or to a price ending (.99), nearest / up / down; list price and tier options; per-product opt-out.
Products > Price currencies: currencies in use with status, Recalculate now, bulk assignment by category, vendor, storefront or the whole catalog (today's prices kept), recalculation log with run details.
Direct edits of the primary price (product list, Global update, import Price columns, spreadsheet and feed tools, REST "price"): keep the edit and convert it back, or restore the currency price.
Import / export columns "Price currency", "Currency price", "Currency list price" (also in Advanced import); REST field kv_price_currency and list filter.
Product list: currency price under the price and a "Price currency" search filter.
Multi-Vendor: vendors can price their products in the currencies the administrator allows.
Product variations: new variations inherit the parent's currency; "apply to all variations" option.
Ultimate: shared products get the same converted prices on every storefront.
Licence client: without a valid license nothing is converted and stored prices stay unchanged.
Tested on Multi-Vendor 4.17.2, CS-Cart 4.17.2, Multi-Vendor 4.21.2. First release.
Does my store show prices in the product currency to customers?
No. Customers see the normal store price in the primary currency (or in the currency they choose in the currency switcher, converted by CS-Cart as before). The product currency is the currency you enter the price in, for example the currency of your supplier's price list.
Do promotions, taxes, filters and feeds keep working?
Yes. The converted price is saved as the normal product price, so all of CS-Cart and other add-ons work with it as with any other price.
Where do the exchange rates come from?
From Administration → Currencies. Change a rate there (or let your rate tool do it) and the prices follow. The add-on does not download rates itself.
What happens when I change a rate?
All products priced in that currency are recalculated right away, and the run appears in the recalculation log with the old and new price of each product. If a tool writes rates directly to the database, the cron job picks up the change.
How many products can it handle?
In our test 10,000 products were recalculated in about 16–21 seconds. Larger catalogs continue in the background with the cron job; the Price currencies page shows the progress.
I edited a price in the product list. Which price wins?
By default your edit: the new primary price is kept and becomes the currency price at the current rate. If the currency price should always win, set When the primary price is edited directly to Restore the currency price.
Can I round prices to .99?
Yes: Rounding → Round converted prices → To a price ending, ending 0.99. You can also round to a step (0.05, 1, ...) and choose the direction. A product can opt out.
Do quantity discounts and customer group prices work?
Yes. Enter them in the product currency in the price currency block; percent discounts stay percentages.
Can vendors price their products in their own currency?
Yes, on Multi-Vendor. Turn on Vendors can set a price currency and choose the currencies vendors may use.
What about product variations?
New variations take the currency of their parent product with their own price. The Also use this currency for the other variations option applies a currency to a whole variation group.
Does it work with the EU price history (Omnibus) add-on?
Yes. Every recalculated price goes through the normal CS-Cart price saving, so our Omnibus price history add-on records it like a manual change.
What happens to prices when I disable or uninstall the add-on?
Nothing: products keep the prices last calculated in the primary currency. Uninstalling removes the currency prices and the log.
A currency was deleted. What happens to its products?
They keep their last price. The Price currencies page shows them as Currency deleted; price them in another currency with the bulk tool or remove the price currency.
Is CS-Cart (Ultimate) supported?
Yes. Settings apply to the whole installation; products shared with several storefronts get the same converted prices on all storefronts.
What happens if the license lapses?
Without a valid license (no key after the 14-day start period, an invalid or revoked key, a domain the license does not cover, or no successful check for 14 days), products keep the prices last calculated in the primary currency; currency prices are no longer converted on product save, rate changes, cron runs, imports or bulk tools. Your data stays. Once the license is valid again, click Recalculate now.
The admin panel shows a license notice.
Open Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Product Price in Any Currency → Settings → License. The status line says what is wrong: no key, a key for another add-on, a revoked license, or a domain that the license does not cover. Fix it and click Check now. See License.
Does the add-on work on my staging copy?
Yes. Subdomains of your licensed domain (for example staging.yourstore.com) and local development hosts (localhost, private IP addresses, .local, .test) are covered by the same license.
What happens if your license server is down?
Nothing changes for 14 days: the add-on keeps working and retries every hour. Only if no check succeeds for 14 days is it switched off until the next successful check.
Does the license check slow down my storefront or checkout?
No. The check runs in the admin panel or from cron, once a day. The storefront never runs it.
Add a released add-on to this order and save 15% on it. It uses the same edition and store domain.
