What it does
For stores that sell with Instagram content and want those photos to sell on the store too. The add-on uses the Instagram API with Instagram Login (the Basic Display API was shut down in December 2024) and your own free Meta app: paste a token or connect through Instagram login. It needs an Instagram professional account. All flows were tested against a local server that answers like the Instagram API; a live account test is up to you.
How it works
Open Marketing, Instagram feed, connect the account and click Sync now. Open a post, search a product and click the photo to place its pin. Add the Instagram feed block in Design, Layouts: grid or carousel, 3 to 6 columns, all posts, tagged posts or the posts of the current product. Shoppers click a tile to open the dialog with the photo, numbered pins, caption and products. Hide or pin posts, review new ones before they show, or copy a post into Shop the Look.

Does it work with a personal Instagram account?
No. The Instagram API with Instagram Login needs a professional account (Business or Creator). Switching is free in the Instagram app.
Do I need Meta App Review?
You use your own app with your own account. Meta's rules for apps and permissions can change; check the Meta developer documentation for your case.
Does it cost anything besides the license?
The Instagram API has no fee. You need a free Meta developer account.
Does it use the Instagram Basic Display API?
No. Meta shut that API down on 4 December 2024. The add-on uses the Instagram API with Instagram Login.
Is the storefront slower?
No call to Instagram is made when a page is shown. Posts and images come from your store, and the block is cached for guests.
Can I show hashtag feeds or posts of other accounts?
No. Only the posts of the connected account.
What happens when the license is not active?
Posts are not synced and the storefront block stays empty. Synced posts and product tags are kept.
Was it tested with a real Instagram account?
Our tests ran against a local server that answers like the Instagram API (code exchange, long-lived token, refresh, profile, media with paging, errors). Connect your account and click Sync now to check it on your store.
