Built for
Google Customer Reviews & Ratings: the Google Customer Reviews survey opt-in after checkout, the store widget and a product reviews feed for Merchant Center1 of 7
What it does
For stores that sell through Google Merchant Center and want seller ratings and product ratings from their own customers. Google Customer Reviews is free; you need a Merchant Center account and must join the program there. The add-on places Google's opt-in code on the order confirmation page, adds the store widget and publishes an XML feed of your approved product reviews. No data is sent to us.
How it works
Enter your Merchant Center ID and choose the dialog position. After checkout, Google shows its opt-in dialog on the confirmation page; customers who agree get Google's survey by e-mail. Turn on the store widget to show your rating on every page. Copy the feed URL from Marketing, Google Customer Reviews into Merchant Center as a scheduled fetch. The dashboard shows the setup checklist, opt-ins shown, reviews in the feed and the last fetch.

Does Google Customer Reviews cost anything?
No. You need a Google Merchant Center account and must join the program there.
Will I get star ratings in Google Ads or Shopping?
That is decided by Google. Seller ratings and product ratings have their own minimum numbers of reviews and their own rules. The add-on makes sure every eligible order gets the survey offer and that your existing product reviews are available as a feed.
Why does the opt-in not appear?
Check the dashboard checklist: the Merchant Center ID must be set, the order status must not be in the skip list, and the order needs an e-mail address, a delivery country and (by default) shipping. Ad blockers and some cookie consent tools can block Google's script.
Do I need customer consent for the survey?
Google's dialog asks the customer itself. Mention Google Customer Reviews in your privacy policy, and if your cookie banner blocks third-party scripts, allow apis.google.com on the order confirmation page.
Can I keep my old badge code?
Google replaced the Google Customer Reviews badge with the store widget. Remove any old badge code from your theme and turn on the widget in the add-on.
Which reviews go into the feed?
Approved reviews with a rating from the core Product reviews add-on (or from Comments and reviews if Product reviews is off), for active products. Pending reviews are counted on the dashboard but not exported.
Multi-Vendor: can vendors set their own Merchant Center ID?
No. Google Customer Reviews belongs to the marketplace's Merchant Center account. Vendors have no access to the settings or the dashboard.
CS-Cart Ultimate with several storefronts?
Each storefront has its own Merchant Center ID, widget settings, opt-in log and feed URL (on the storefront's own domain). One license covers every storefront of the installation.
