Redsys Payments (Cards, Bizum, Spain): Take card and Bizum payments through Redsys with signature-checked notifications and refunds from the order page1 of 9
What it does
Redsys for stores that sell in Spain on CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor. Redsys is the virtual POS (TPV Virtual) most Spanish banks offer. The customer is sent to the Redsys payment page and pays with the methods your bank enabled, for example cards with 3-D Secure and Bizum; a second payment method opens Bizum directly. Card data never reaches your server. Any currency your terminal accepts.
You need a TPV Virtual from your bank; the bank charges its own fees. Made by Kavio Labs, not affiliated with or endorsed by Redsys or Bizum; both are trademarks of their owners.
What it changes for your store
Requests are signed with HMAC_SHA512_V2, or HMAC_SHA256_V1 for older terminals, and the signature, amount and currency of every notification are checked before an order is paid.
Repeated or late notifications change an order one time and never undo a paid order.
A customer who returns before the result arrives sees the order, not a second checkout.
Every attempt gets its own 12-character Redsys order number.
Refunds from the order page, full or partial; a refund with a lost answer is never repeated by itself.
Failed jobs retry by themselves and are listed in the log.
How it works
Admin
Enter the merchant code, terminal and terminal key of the Redsys test merchant, run Test connection, add a payment method with the Redsys processor (and one set to Bizum only if you want it). Refund from the order's Redsys tab.
Shopper
Picks Redsys or Bizum at checkout, pays on the Redsys page and returns to the order.
Marketplace
The owner takes the payments on one Redsys account and alone refunds them, or each vendor connects their own account.
Features
Redsys redirection with the signed form fields Ds_SignatureVersion, Ds_MerchantParameters and Ds_Signature
Signature versions HMAC_SHA512_V2 and HMAC_SHA256_V1, checked against the examples printed in the Redsys guides
Bizum through the documented Ds_Merchant_PayMethods value z, as its own payment method
Notification checked with the terminal key, answer code, amount and currency before an order is paid
Repeated, late and out-of-order notifications handled safely
Cart stays empty after a return while the payment is pending, also for signed-in customers
Unique 12-character order numbers for every attempt, so retries never meet SIS0051
Full and partial refunds through the Redsys REST interface, with an "unconfirmed" state and your confirmation when the answer is lost
Test and live environments, terminal key stored encrypted, Test connection
Orders in 140 ISO 4217 currencies, each charged in its correct minor unit (0 decimals for XOF or JPY, 3 for JOD or KWD)
Job queue with retries, log with CSV export
Multi-Vendor: one marketplace account or one account per vendor

Requirements
Platform
CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 or later
Requirement
Administrator access to the store's admin panel
Requirement
For live payments: a Redsys virtual POS (TPV Virtual) from your Spanish bank, with its merchant code (FUC), terminal number and terminal key (in the Redsys administration portal: Merchant configuration, "Ver clave" / "Ver Clave de Firma"). Ask the bank to activate Bizum on the terminal if you want it
Requirement
For tests: nothing. The Redsys test environment (sis-t.redsys.es) accepts the public test merchant 999008881, terminal 1, with the test key shown on the Redsys "Tarjetas y entornos de prueba" page
Requirement
Your store must be reachable over HTTPS on the standard port: Redsys posts the payment result to your store
Requirement
A cron job on your server (see step 7)
Core changes
None. Hooks and template overrides only

Initial release.
Redsys redirection payments: signed form (HMAC_SHA512_V2 or HMAC_SHA256_V1), unique 12-character order numbers, card and Bizum payment methods (Ds_Merchant_PayMethods z).
Verification of the signed notification (signature, answer code, amount, currency) before an order is paid; repeated, late and out-of-order notifications are safe.
Customer return while the payment is pending: the order is shown, the cart and the saved cart rows stay empty.
Refunds through the REST interface (type 3), full or partial, with unconfirmed-refund handling.
Connection page with encrypted terminal key, test and live mode and a connection test.
Job queue with retries and back-off, cron (command line and secret address), log viewer with CSV export.
Fixed (release-gate audit 2026-11-07, before the first release) 7
Currency minor units follow the complete ISO 4217 table: XOF, XAF, XPF, PYG, BIF, DJF, KMF, RWF, VUV (0 decimals) and IQD, JOD, LYD (3 decimals) were sent with 2 decimals. Obsolete BGN and VEB were removed (140 currencies).
Multi-Vendor owner mode: a cart with several vendors is paid on the parent order; the child orders now show the payment, refund their own share (form and status trigger) and the transactions list links them.
Every payment attempt is listed on the order tab with its own refund form (duplicate payments are refundable there); "already paid" checks every attempt; the status refund refunds every paid attempt.
A paid notification is also compared with the order's current total: when the order was edited while the payment was pending, the payment is booked but the order is not marked paid.
The customer's return for a paid payment whose order is not yet in a paid status is treated as pending (no "transaction cancelled", cart emptied).
Notifications and refunds use the terminal key of the mode the payment was made in (test or live); Ds_Currency is required.
Vendors cannot retry or discard queue jobs in owner mode and see only their own job counts; Redsys order numbers are unique in the database; the order tab button is called "Reload" (Redsys has no status query).
Tested on Multi-Vendor 4.17.2. First release.
Does it work with CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor?
Yes. The add-on supports CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor. In Multi-Vendor the marketplace owner can use one Redsys account for everyone or let each vendor connect their own.
Which CS-Cart versions are supported?
4.17.2 to 4.21.x.
Where are my credentials stored?
In your own database, the terminal key encrypted. The key is derived from your store's secret in config.php, so a database dump alone does not reveal them. They are never shown again after saving.
Does it send data to Kavio Labs?
No. The add-on talks to Redsys only. The license check sends your domain name to the Kavio Labs license server once a day (Kavio Labs downloads).
Does it support Bizum?
Yes, through Redsys: a payment method set to "Bizum only" sends the documented Ds_Merchant_PayMethods = z. Your bank has to activate Bizum on the terminal. No Bizum logo is shipped; upload the official button from your Redsys portal if you want it on the checkout.
Which signature versions are supported?
HMAC_SHA512_V2 (the current one in the Redsys guides) and HMAC_SHA256_V1 (older terminals).
Is card data handled by my store?
No. The customer enters the card on the Redsys page. The add-on keeps the order number, the answer code, the authorisation code and amounts only.
Can I test without a bank contract?
Yes: the public Redsys test merchant and test cards (Redsys page "Tarjetas y entornos de prueba"). See Installation.
What happens when Redsys is down?
The customer cannot pay until it is back. Notifications that fail to process on our side are retried automatically (5 minutes up to 12 hours). A refund whose answer is lost is never repeated by itself; you confirm it after checking the portal.
What happens when the license expires?
New work stops (no new documents, rates, syncs or payments). Work already under way is still finished.
How do I get updates?
Install the new package over the old one. See Installation.
Add a released add-on to this order and save 15% on it. It uses the same edition and store domain.
