Built for
IndexNow & Last-Modified: new and changed URLs sent with IndexNow on save, and 304 answers for unchanged pages1 of 7
What it does
For stores that add and change products often. When a product, category or page is created, saved, hidden or deleted, its URL is sent with IndexNow, the free protocol of Bing, Yandex, Seznam, Naver and others; Google does not use it. The key and its file are created for you. Product and category pages can also send Last-Modified and answer 304 Not Modified to guests whose copy is still current.
How it works
Install and open Website, IndexNow & Last-Modified. Queue your catalog once and press Send now. From then on every save in the admin panel queues the URL and sends it at the end of the request; a cron job sends the rest, for example after imports. The log lists every send with the engine's answer explained, and failed sends are tried again. Exclude paths with wildcards, add URLs by hand or create a new key.

Does Google use IndexNow?
No. Google does not take part in IndexNow. Use your sitemap and Google Search Console for Google. Bing, Yandex, Seznam, Naver and the other IndexNow engines share the URLs they receive.
Does IndexNow make my pages rank higher?
No. It tells the engines a URL changed, so they can crawl it sooner. Whether and when they crawl or index it is their decision.
Do I need an account or an API key?
No. IndexNow is free and needs no account. The add-on creates the key and the key file itself.
Is the 304 answer safe for my customers?
It is sent only to visitors without a sign-in, without items in the cart and without pending messages, and only when the visitor's copy is not older than the page's last change. Everyone else always gets the full page. Keep the setting off if your product pages show content that changes without a product, category, promotion or cache change, or lower the days limit.
Does it work with the full page cache of CS-Cart 4.21?
The add-on does not answer 304 itself while the core Full Page Cache add-on is active; it only adds the Last-Modified header. IndexNow sending runs in the admin panel and the cron job only. This combination was not tested on a live 4.21 store with Varnish.
Are the URLs of products changed by an import sent?
Imports that save products through the core functions queue them. Send them with Send now or the cron job.
What happens when I delete a product?
Its URL is queued before it is deleted, so the engines learn that it is gone.
