Volt is a storefront theme for consumer-electronics retailers, chains and electronics marketplaces with phones, laptops, TV and audio, gaming, cameras, smart home and accessories, on CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor.
Four styles change more than the accent: Daylight (warm white and burnt orange), Signal (yellow and red retail energy), Ember (warm graphite) and Carbon (near-black and cyan).
Four styles, one theme
Each style changes the ground, bands, type weight and card treatment, not only the accent colour. Open any of them in the live demo.
Volt helps shoppers decide without leaving the store:
Spec meters against the category range on every card
Saving pill and monthly price next to every price
Compare toggles and a compare tray on every page
Head to head bars with the winner lit
Countdowns only for real promotion end dates
Category icon bar with brands and a top deal per category
Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 in every style
Twelve settings, finished look out of the box
How it works
Install the package in Add-ons: it adds the Volt theme without touching your storefront. Activate Volt in Website, Themes and pick a style. The next admin page adds the demo catalogue, so every homepage section is filled at once; replace it step by step.
Specs are product features of the type Number: they become meters, callouts and versus rows. Deals come from catalog promotions. Edit the sections in the Block Manager.

Does Volt work with my add-ons?
Yes. Volt is a child of the standard Responsive theme and does not override product, cart or checkout templates, so add-on hooks keep working. Kavio Labs add-ons are styled to match each style.
Does it work on CS-Cart and on Multi-Vendor?
Yes, one package for both. On Multi-Vendor the cards show the seller, and refurbished offers can show their condition.
Why does a card show no spec meters?
Meters need product features of the type Number with Show in product list on. Text features (for example "40 hours") cannot be placed on a bar. A product with no such feature simply shows no meters.
Why is a meter almost full or almost empty?
The bar compares the value with the other products of the same category (at least three products with that feature), else of its top-level category, else of the whole catalogue. With few products in a category the range is small.
Why does a product show no countdown?
Countdowns only appear for catalog promotions with an end date. Volt never shows invented timers.
Why is there no price history chart?
The chart needs recorded prices. It reads the price history of the Omnibus price history add-on; without it, or with fewer than two recorded prices for the product, the chart stays hidden. "Lowest price in 90 days" appears only when the current price really is the lowest recorded one.
Can I change or turn off the monthly price line?
Yes: Monthly price line in the theme settings (6 to 36 months, or Off). It divides the displayed price by the number of months; offer a matching instalment payment method before you show it.
Where do the icon bar icons come from?
From the category names (phones, laptops, TV, audio, gaming, cameras, smart home, wearables, accessories and more). Other categories show their category image or their first letter.
What happens without a licence?
A new installation works for 14 days. After that, without a valid licence, the storefront shows the standard Responsive look; cart, checkout and orders keep working and visitors see no message. The admin panel tells you why and how to fix it. See Configuration.
Does the theme work on my staging copy?
Yes. Subdomains of your licensed domain and local development hosts are covered by the same licence.
What happens if your licence server is down?
Nothing visible: the theme keeps the last verified result and keeps working for 14 days while it retries.
Will an update overwrite my changes?
No. Files you changed are kept (a notice lists them), and layouts and blocks are never replaced.
A Swiss-editorial storefront theme with a shop-window homepage, oversized type and four bold styles, built on Responsive so every add-on keeps working.
A department-store theme for large catalogues: colour-coded departments, a department list beside the hero, tabbed product blocks and a sticky buy box.
