One living room, five pieces: how we built the Lund room

We started with the Lund sofa in boucle oat and built outwards: the Orme chair in rust wool for colour, the Disc table in travertine at the right height for the seat, the Arc lamp to reach over the sofa and a wool rug to hold it all together.

Tip: leave 45 cm between the sofa and the coffee table, and 90 cm for a walkway.

Choosing a dining table that seats everyone

Plan 60 cm of table edge per person and 75 cm from the table to the wall. A 200 cm table seats six comfortably, eight at a squeeze; a 120 cm round table seats four and makes conversation easy.

Order wood samples: oiled oak, walnut and white ash age differently in daylight.

A calmer bedroom in three moves

Lower the bed, soften the headboard and keep the bedside tables clear. Our Haven bed in boucle and washed linen bedding do most of the work; one warm lamp does the rest.

Linen gets softer with every wash, so buy it once and keep it for years.

Will it fit? Measuring doors, stairs and lifts

Measure the narrowest point on the way in: the front door, the hall corner, the stairwell and the lift. Compare it with the doorway size on the product page: every sofa, sideboard and dresser lists the smallest door it fits through.

Not sure? Send us a photo and the measurements and our room planners will check it for free.
